Researchers and practitioners have long been interested in identifying the criteria that users consider important in assessing whether a system is worth using. However, past research in this domain has not taken into account the characteristics of a system's design and their quality in a systematic and comprehensive manner, which is likely to have limited the development of actionable design guidelines. The article addresses this issue by suggesting a research model that links user beliefs—which have traditionally been used in IT acceptance and success research (i.e., information quality, system quality, usefulness, and ease of use)—to their beliefs regarding the quality of three categories of a system's design (i.e., visual quality, page layout quality, and navigation quality) and testing it in the context of organizational intranets. The analysis of data collected from 159 intranet website users in three organizations supported the model, suggesting that the three categories of design quality beliefs significantly influenced users' assessment of their system's information quality and system quality.

Students in higher education bring with them a difference of linguistic abilities that is often due to the difference in socioeconomic status and early schooling. The lack of linguistic capacity hampers academic pace and introduces discrepancies in performance of learners. This paper examines the persistence of socioeconomic differences being translated in educational institutes and their influence on language outcomes and it investigates the role of effective intervention through an action research model by Zuber-Skerritt (1992) called CRASP. It is an experimental study based on a sample of 300 engineering students which examines initial and final evaluation of language proficiency through intervention. The tools used to gather data include demographics, language test of writing and speaking skills and sequential assessment. The results showed that intervention is helpful for enhancing language proficiency nonetheless; the improvement rate is nearly negligible and requires a long-term plan to impact early disadvantage of exposure.

Recently, university commercialization has drawn growing attention to the role of the university as one of the drivers to local economic growth. Majority universities and other research institutes in Malaysia has established Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) to give support and guidance to the researchers in the bid to commercialize Research and Development (R&D) activities. The issues that are faced by current researchers are progressing and adapting to the role of developing and commercialising products while having lack of business acumen that hinders success in commercialization among the researchers. The objective of this study is to create a research model for commercialization study in universities and developing questionnaire to assess the issue in a holistic view. This study reviews the role of TTO, lists of incentives from the government to the researchers and factors that impedes the researchers’ output to the commercial bench. Contextual factor, Process factors and Organizational factors lead to the successful commercialization in the research institutes. A research model for impediment in commercialization is created and questionnaire for TTO and survey for researchers, are developed to investigate on the impediment factors that hinder success in the research commercialization among universities. The in-house developed instruments are modified based on massive literatures on commercialization to stimulate strategies and improvement of units from Planning to Execution role in the TTO. On another hand, researchers in the university will be able to plan and execute their research that will deliver scientific, technological, cultural and economic developments in addressing industrial, culture and social issues.

The study proposed three hypothesis on the role of digital leadership on developing business model innovation and customer experience orientation, whether the digital leadership has significant direct and indirect impact on developing business model innovation through customer experience orientation. the study is conducted with unit analysis of Indonesia telecommunication firms with 88 senior leaders were being observed. The results indicated the digital leadership there is a significant impact directly and indirecty through customer experience orientation in formulating business model innovation. The finding has implication for scholar and management in managing digital era, the digital leadership plays significant role that has implication for Indonesia incumbent firms to develop the digital leadership capability in assure managing digital transformation successfully implemented. Further study can be expanded through expand the research model, sample and statistical tool analysis

Nowadays, there has been a rapid growth in the number of online users, which only indicates that technology is becoming even more popular. Therefore, maintaining an effective website has become essential for businesses to gain a competitive advantage. Nevertheless, the understanding of e-servicescape attributes remains unclear, especially in the tourism and hospitality sector. Therefore, this study aims to explore how the e-servicescape of a third-party website affects consumers’ behavior by developing a research model. A structural equation model was utilized to test the conceptual model. The findings suggest that both aesthetic appeal and layout & functionality can affect website trust and perceived value. Financial security affects perceived value but does not affect website trust. Both website trust and perceived value can affect online booking intentions. Furthermore, high-experienced consumers tend to have higher website trust and perceived value than less-experienced ones. Our findings provide managers with new guidance on designing and developing effective third-party websites.

The aim of this article is to look at how two psychological factors affect financial risk tolerance (FRT) and financial risk-taking behaviour (FRB) of individual investors. The study also investigates the role of FRT in mediating the relationship between psychological factors and FRB. A standardized questionnaire was used to collect the information. For the study, a total of 303 completed questionnaires were used. The proposed research model was validated and assessed using partial least squares structural equation modelling. The findings revealed some important experiences. Emotional intelligence and impulsiveness have a significant relationship with both FRT and FRB, according to the results. The findings also support FRT’s position as a mediating factor in the proposed research model. The results emphasize the importance of psychological factors in determining an individual’s FRT and FRB. FRT is a complex mechanism that entails more than just psychological considerations. As a result, further research is needed to decide which additional factors financial advisors can use to increase the explained variance in FRT inequalities.

The present study integrates constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model, Diffusions of Innovation Theory and Trust Models in order to propose a research model to guide future e-government initiatives. The critical acceptance factors, namely: trust, security, and regulation are analyzed for the citizens’ adoption process. The citizen’s perceptions of electronic services adoption are analyzed based on the case study of the National Governmental Portal.

In this research, we look at the antecedents of accounting information system (AIS) usage and their impact on the effectiveness of AIS. Therefore, drawing upon the resource-based view (RBV) and the technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework, we propose an integrated model to investigate the precursors and impacts of AIS utilization among Jordanian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The model so proposed incorporates the usage of AIS and its performance aspects into one framework. The current research utilized a self-administered questionnaire survey to collect data. Using data drawn from 186 respondents, the research model was verified empirically in the context of Jordanian SMEs. The findings revealed that compatibility, competitive pressure, organizational readiness, the commitment of the owners/managers and government supports have exerted a significant influence on the usage of AIS. In addition, the results demonstrated that AIS usage significantly influenced the effectiveness of AIS. In addition, firm size moderated the effect of AIS usage on AIS effectiveness. The findings of the current study afford insights as to how firms might garner improved usage of an AIS to gain better firm performance and provide contributions to the small but developing stream of research examining both antecedents and impacts of IS/IT usage.

AbstractThe objective of the present article is to highlight the concept of innovation performance, its importance and the different elements that could potentially enhance it within an organization. Through critical appraisal of the literature, the paper has attempted to shed light on how innovation performance is essentially important for businesses to thrive in the current global economy via focusing on prospects like corporate entrepreneurship and employee engagement. The review has concluded that Innovation and more importantly, employee performance towards bringing innovative is critical for businesses. Corporate entrepreneurship is an evolving concept that talks about nurturing and establishing such an environment that supports and motivates people to work with initiative mindset, indulging in creativity and innovation within the organization. Notably, past empirical evidence has underscored employee engagement to be highly significant in enhancing performance focused outcomes. The paper had attempted to establish how corporate entrepreneurship can enhance innovation performance within an organization. Importantly, the paper has also outlined pivotal role of employee engagement as a potential moderator to enrich this relationship. The paper has forwarded research model highlighting severe paucity of research and mature significance for fostering innovation performance at the workplace.
