In 1968 we concluded that disodium cromoglycate mixed with isoprenaline (Intal Compound) might help in allergic asthma but was of less established value in non-allergic asthma.1 Since then disodium cromoglycate without isoprenaline (Intal) has been marketed and many pharmacological and clinical studies of these preparations have been made. Intal Co probably has no advantage over Intal and has not been marketed outside Britain. This year disodium cromoglycate powder in capsules for nasal insufflation (Rynacrom) was introduced for hay fever.
