Aiming at the complex multiproduct scheduling problem with 0-wait constraint, a hybrid algorithm based on genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing (SA) algorithm was studied. Based on the results of pruning and grading to the operation tree of complex multiproduct, the design structure matrix (DSM) with precedence constraints was established. Then, an initial population coding method based on DSM was proposed and three strategies to optimize the initial population were proposed to improve the quality of the initial population for the situation of multiple operations in the same grade which need to be processed on the same machine. The specific process flow and the setting method of related parameters for the hybrid algorithm were given out. For the infeasible solution produced in the crossover operation, the repair method was proposed. In the decoding process with makespan as the optimization objective, the chromosome genes were classified and the decoding for complex multiproduct scheduling problem with 0-wait constraint was realized through the analysis of its characteristics. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for complex multiproduct scheduling problem with 0-wait constraint is verified by the test of related examples in the existing literature.

This paper studies multi-vehicle and multi-cargo loading problem under the limited loading capacity. Hybrid genetic simulated annealing algorithm is used to get the optimization solution. Firstly, adopt hybrid coding so as to make the problem more succinctly. On the basis of cubage-weight balance algorithm, construct initial solution to improve the feasibility. Adopt the improved non-uniform mutation so as to enhance local search ability of chromosomes. Secondly, through utilizing Boltzmann mechanism of simulated annealing algorithm, control crossover and mutation operation of genetic algorithm, search efficiency so as to improve the solution quality of algorithm. Finally, the example can be shown that the above model and algorithm is effective and can provide for large-scale ideas to solve practical problems.

Timely components replenishment is the key to ATO (assemble-to-order) supply chain operating successfully. We developed a production and replenishment model of ATO supply chain, where the ATO manufacturer adopts both JIT and (Q,r) replenishment mode simultaneously to replenish components. The ATO manufacturer’s mixed replenishment policy and component suppliers’ production policies are studied. Furthermore, combining the rapid global searching ability of genetic algorithm and the local searching ability of simulated annealing algorithm, a hybrid genetic simulated annealing algorithm (HGSAA) is proposed to search for the optimal solution of the model. An experiment is given to illustrate the rapid convergence of the HGSAA and the good quality of optimal mixed replenishment policy obtained by the HGSAA. Finally, by comparing the HGSAA with GA, it is proved that the HGSAA is a more effective and reliable algorithm than GA for solving the optimization problem of mixed replenishment policy for ATO supply chain.

AbstractThis paper studies a single-machine multitasking scheduling problem together with two-agent consideration. The objective is to look for an optimal schedule to minimize the total tardiness of one agent subject to the total completion time of another agent has an upper bound. For this problem, a branch-and-bound method equipped with several dominant properties and a lower bound is exploited to search optimal solutions for small size jobs. Three metaheuristics, cloud simulated annealing algorithm, genetic algorithm, and simulated annealing algorithm, each with three improvement ways, are proposed to find the near-optimal solutions for large size jobs. The computational studies, experiments, are provided to evaluate the capabilities for the proposed algorithms. Finally, statistical analysis methods are applied to compare the performances of these algorithms.
