In this study, the authors aimed to realize a smart home using an AI model that can be integrated with the Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) application to realize environment control. The collected input data were outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, humidity, illumination, and indoor person count. The output control decisions included control of air conditioners, dehumidifiers, power curtains, and lights. An artificial neural network was utilized to process the input data for machine learning for the objective of achieving a comfortable environment. In addition, the control decision predictions made by this AI model were analyzed for model loss and model accuracy. This study implemented the model. Specifically, LabVIEW was used to design the sensing component, data display, and control interface, and Python was used to establish the intelligent model. Moreover, by using the web publishing tool built into LabVIEW, remote sensing and control were fulfilled in this implementation.

A temperature and humidity control system of storehouse environment is proposed in this paper, and the hardware structure and Software function are designed based on virtual instrument technology. The design of hardware system includes two parts, one is to monitor temperature and humidity, the other is to control them through turning on/off the executive device. The systematic software was divided into two major function modules: monitor and control module and data management module. In order to reduce the influence of interference and ensure the system stability, the anti-interference program is designed in the system software. Testing result shows the control system is feasible and effective for improving the precision of storehouse environment control.

The Fifth Generation (5G) networks are expected to be flexible to satisfy demands of high-quality services such as high speed, low latencies and enhanced reliability from customers. Also, the rapidly increasing amount of user devices and high user’s requests becomes a problem. Thus, the Software-Defined Network (SDN) will be the key function for efficient management and control. To deal with these problems, we propose a Fuzzy-based SDN approach. This paper presents and compares two Fuzzy-based Systems for Admission Control (FBSAC) in 5G wireless networks: FBSAC1 and FBSAC2. The FBSAC1 considers for admission control decision three parameters: Grade of Service (GS), User Request Delay Time (URDT) and Network Slice Size (NSS). In FBSAC2, we consider as an additional parameter the Slice Priority (SP). So, FBSAC2 has four input parameters. The simulation results show that the FBSAC2 is more complex than FBSAC1, but it has a better performance for admission control.
