When using the risk priority number method to perform a criticality analysis of the failure modes of mechanical products, different subjective factors exist on the part of experts regarding the severity level (S), occurrence probability level (O), and failure modes. The estimation of the detection difficulty level (D) is different, which causes the problem of inaccurate evaluation of the criticality of failure modes. This study proposes a harm analysis method that combines group decision-making and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The similarity and difference between an individual expert and the group are used in group decision-making to assign the weight of the expert, thus reducing the influence of subjective factors on the evaluation results. On the basis of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the weight of three risk elements (S, O, and D) is determined, and a hazard ranking of the interval obtained by group decision-making is performed. The CA (criticality analysis) improvement method is used to analyze the hazard posed by low-temperature shut-off valves. Results indicate that this method can effectively assess the weak links of the low-temperature shut-off valves and improve the accuracy of the hazard evaluation in comparison with the risk priority coefficient method.

A new comprehensive evaluation based on triangular fuzzy number method is put forward in this paper, according to the principle of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and using trichotomy to determine membership function. And a calculation example is illustrated by using the method presented. The method is a reference to the bid evaluation in the future.

In this paper, based on theoretical research and empirical investigation, an index system is created for the evaluation of express companies’ emergency logistics capability from three types of capabilities, namely, emergency decision-making, implementing emergency plans and information assurance, by taking into consideration the characteristics of emergency logistics of express companies. In the issue of weight determination of the indices, given the subjectivity caused by individual evaluation, the approach of group decision making by multi-experts is introduced, which is the combination of we have introduced a group decision-making approach, that is to combine identically scaled weighting of judgment matrix and clustering weight determination. Multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is chosen to evaluate express companies’ emergency logistics capabilities.Through empirical study, the validity and practicability of the index system and the evaluation method are both confirmed(verified).

AbstractIn the past 10 years, a large number of consensus-reaching approaches for group decision making (GDM) have been proposed. While these methods either focus on the cost of the consensus reaching or the convergency of the consensus process, the consensus efficiency has long been ignored. Meanwhile, the measurements of consensus threshold are often determined by some subjective and intuitive judgements, such as management experience and estimations for the degree of satisfaction, which lack a theoretical foundation. In management applications, how to measure consensus and how to evaluate a consensus reaching method are also ambiguous. To tackle these questions, we introduce efficiency measures into the consensus reaching process of GDM and achieve a comprehensive evaluation of current consensus methods through an efficiency analysis of consensus costs and consensus improvement. From the perspective of efficiency, we propose a benchmark in consensus reaching by data envelopment analysis without explicit input benchmark models, and then present an objective method for consensus threshold determination in GDM. Finally, we use numerical examples to illustrate the usability of our method.

AbstractThe 2-dimensional uncertain linguistic variable (2DULV) can depict decision-makers’ subjective assessments on the reliability of given evaluation results, which is a valid and practical tool to express decision information. In this study, we develop an improved MABAC method with 2DULVs to handle multiattribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems where the weight information of attributes is unknown. First, some related theories of 2DULVs and the basic procedure of the MABAC method are briefly reviewed. Then, the maximum comprehensive evaluation value method is extended to 2DULVs to obtain combination weights of attributes, in which the subjective weights are determined according to the best–worst method (BWM) and the objective weights are calculated by the maximum deviation method. Besides, the generalized weighted average operator for 2DULVs (2DULGWA) is utilized to aggregate the evaluation information given by all experts. Finally, an improved MABAC for 2DULVs (2DUL-MABAC) is proposed, and an example is carried out to explain the validity of the proposed approach.

Aiming at the mixed multiattribute group decision-making problem of interval Pythagorean fuzzy numbers, a weighted average (WA) operator model based on interval Pythagorean fuzzy sets is constructed. Furthermore, a decision-making method based on the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method with interval Pythagorean fuzzy numbers is proposed. First, based on the completely unknown weights of decision-makers and attributes, interval Pythagorean fuzzy numbers are applied to TOPSIS group decision-making. Second, the interval Pythagorean fuzzy number WA operator is used to synthesize the evaluation matrices of multiple decision-makers into a comprehensive evaluation matrix, and the relative closeness of each scheme is calculated based on the TOPSIS decision-making method. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method.
