A novel fault diagnosis method of rolling bearing based on deep metric learning and Yu norm is proposed in this paper, which is called a deep metric learning method based on Yu norm (DMN-Yu). In order to solve the misclassification caused by the traditional deep metric learning based on distance metric function, a similarity criterion based on Yu norm is introduced into the traditional deep metric learning. Firstly, the deep metric learning neural network (DMN) is used to adaptively extract the fault feature parameters. Secondly, considering that the data samples at the boundary between different fault categories can be misclassified, the marginal Fisher analysis method based on Yu norm is used to optimize the features. And then, BPNN classifier of DMN-Yu method is used to fine tune the network parameters and diagnose the fault category. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed DMN-Yu method is verified with the rolling bearing fault diagnosis test. And the superiority of the proposed diagnosis method is validated by comparing its diagnosis accuracy with the deep metric learning method based on Euclidean distance (DMN-Euc), traditional deep belief network (DBN), and support vector machine (SVM) combined with the common time-domain statistical features.

To improve the accuracy of rolling-bearing fault diagnosis and solve the problem of incomplete information about the feature-evaluation method of the single-measurement model, this paper combines the advantages of various measurement models and proposes a fault-diagnosis method based on multi-measurement hybrid-feature evaluation. In this study, an original feature set was first obtained through analyzing a collected vibration signal. The feature set included time- and frequency-domain features, and also, based on the empirical-mode decomposition (EMD)-obtained time-frequency domain, energy and Lempel–Ziv complexity features. Second, a feature-evaluation framework of multiplicative hybrid models was constructed based on correlation, distance, information, and other measures. The framework was used to rank features and obtain rank weights. Then the weights were multiplied by the features to obtain a new feature set. Finally, the fault-feature set was used as the input of the category-divergence fault-diagnosis model based on kernel principal component analysis (KPCA), and the fault-diagnosis model was based on a support vector machine (SVM). The clustering effect of different fault categories was more obvious and classification accuracy was improved.

On the basis of wavelet packet-characteristic entropy(WP-CE) and multiclass fuzzy support vector machine(MFSVM), the author proposes a new fault diagnosis method of vibrating of hearings,in which three layers wavelet packet decomposition of the acquired vibrating signals of hearings is performed and the wavelet packet-characteristic entropy is extracted, the eigenvector of wavelet packet of the vibrating signals is constructed, and taking this eigenvector as fault sample multiclass fuzzy support vector machine is trained to implement the intelligent fault diagnosis. The simulation result from the proposed method is effective and feasible.

Rolling bearing is of great importance in modern industrial products, the failure of which may result in accidents and economic losses. Therefore, fault diagnosis of rolling bearing is significant and necessary and can enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems. Therefore, a novel fault diagnosis method for rolling bearing based on semi-supervised clustering and support vector data description (SVDD) with adaptive parameter optimization and improved decision strategy is proposed in this study. First, variational mode decomposition (VMD) was applied to decompose the vibration signals into sets of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), where the decomposing mode number K was determined by the central frequency observation method. Next, fuzzy entropy (FuzzyEn) values of all IMFs were calculated to construct the feature vectors of different types of faults. Later, training samples were clustered with semi-supervised fuzzy C-means clustering (SSFCM) for fully exploiting the information inside samples, whereupon a small number of labeled samples were able to provide sufficient data distribution information for subsequent SVDD algorithms and improve its recognition ability. Afterwards, SVDD with improved decision strategy (ID-SVDD) that combined with k-nearest neighbor was proposed to establish diagnostic model. Simultaneously, the optimal parameters C and σ for ID-SVDD were searched by the newly proposed sine cosine algorithm improved with adaptive updating strategy (ASCA). Finally, the proposed diagnosis method was applied for engineering application as well as contrastive analysis. The obtained results reveal that the proposed method exhibits the best performance in all evaluation metrics and has advantages over other comparison methods in both precision and stability.

The rolling bearing is one of the most important and widely used parts in the rotating machinery. It is necessary to establish a reliable condition monitoring program which can avoid serious fault in the runtime and diagnose failure timely and accurately when it happens. This paper puts forward to a fault diagnosis method of rolling bearing based on the PSO-SVM of the mixed-feature. Firstly, we extract features in time domain, frequency domain, and order quenfrency domain. Secondly, select both Support Vector Machine (SVM) parameters by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm and kernel function of SVM classification model. Finally, classification model of SVM is designed by using the extracted salient features, kernel function and optimal parameter of PSO. The result verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A novel bearing fault diagnosis method based on Lie group was proposed, and genetic algorithm (GA) was introduced to optimize feature amount. This method was applied to inner ring fault, outer ring fault and rolling element fault of rolling bearing. Firstly, the rolling bearing vibration signal was decomposed as intrinsic model functions (IMF) by using the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method. The energy of every IMF and the singular value of the IMF matrix were chosen as features. The Shannon and Renyi entropy of the energy and singular value distribution were also extracted. Secondly genetic algorithm was used to reduce feature redundancy, with lowest classifier error rate and least feature amount as finess function. At last, a comparison was made between this method and least square support vector machine (LSSVM).The results showed that Lie group clkassifier was more sensitivce to feature. This method could use less feature amount to diagnose fault.

Abstract Rolling bearing, as a key component of rotating machinery, its health status directly determines the stability and reliability of the whole machine. The research on its intelligent diagnosis method has important engineering value and academic significance. However, due to actual engineering conditions, the types of bearing failures and the amount of data are limited. Aiming at the difficulty of extracting and selecting bearing vibration features under limited sample constraints, this pa-per proposes an intelligent fault diagnosis method of SF-SVM. On the basis of the short-time Fourier change, the L2 regularized sparse filter is used to extract the unsupervised feature of the bearing vibration time-frequency map. After obtaining the typical features of the bearing, the support vector machine is used for diagnosis.

Rolling bearings are the most frequently failed components in rotating machinery. Once a failure occurs, the entire system will be shut down or even cause catastrophic consequences. Therefore, a fault detection of rolling bearings is of great significance. Due to the complexity of the mechanical system, the randomness of the vibration signal appears on different scales. Based on the multi-scale fuzzy entropy (FE) analysis of the vibration signal, a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on smoothness priors approach (SPA) -FE-IFSVM is proposed. The SPA method was used to adaptively decompose the vibration signal and obtain the trend item and de-trend item of the vibration signal. Then the fuzzy entropy of the trend item and de-trend item was calculated respectively. Meanwhile, aiming at the problem that the support vector machine (SVM) cannot process the data set containing fuzzy messages and was sensitive to noise, the fuzzy support vector machine (FSVM) was introduced and improved, and then the FE as the feature vector was input into the improved fuzzy support vector machine (IFSVM) to identify the failure. The method was applied to the rolling bearing experimental data. The analysis results show that: this method can achieve 100% fault diagnosis accuracy when only two component features are extracted, which can effectively realize the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings.
