The definition of uniformly nonsquareness in Banach spaces is extended to F -normed spaces. Most of the results from this paper concern (uniformly) nonsquareness in the sense of James or in the sense of Schäffer in Orlicz spaces equipped with the Mazur-Orlicz F -norm. It is well known that uniform nonsquareness in the sense of Schäffer and in the sense of James are equivalent in Banach spaces. In this paper, we found that uniform nonsquareness in the sense of James and in the sense of Schäffer are not equivalent for F -normed spaces. Criteria for Orlicz spaces equipped with the Mazur-Orlicz F -norm to be nonsquare and uniformly nonsquare in the sense of James or in the sense of Schäffer are given.

As is well known, the extreme points and strongly extreme points play important roles in Banach spaces. In this paper, the criterion for strongly extreme points in Orlicz spaces equipped with s-norm is given. We complete solved criterion-Orlicz space that generated by Orlicz function. And the sufficient and necessary conditions for middle point locally uniformly convex in Orlicz spaces equipped with s-norm are obtained.

AbstractIn this paper, we obtain Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional equationsf (x + y, z + w) + f (x − y, z − w) = 2f (x, z) + 2f (y, w),f (x + y, z − w) + f (x − y, z + w) = 2f (x, z) + 2f (y, w)andf (x + y, z − w) + f (x − y, z + w) = 2f (x, z) − 2f (y, w)in 2-Banach spaces. The quadratic forms ax2 + bxy + cy2, ax2 + by2 and axy are solutions of the above functional equations, respectively.

AbstractIn this paper, we mainly investigate the existence, continuous dependence, and the optimal control for nonlocal fractional differential evolution equations of order (1,2) in Banach spaces. We define a competent definition of a mild solution. On this basis, we verify the well-posedness of the mild solution. Meanwhile, with a construction of Lagrange problem, we elaborate the existence of optimal pairs of the fractional evolution systems. The main tools are the fractional calculus, cosine family, multivalued analysis, measure of noncompactness method, and fixed point theorem. Finally, an example is propounded to illustrate the validity of our main results.

The main goal of this paper is study of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability (briefly HUR-approximation) of the following Euler-Lagrange type additive(briefly ELTA) functional equation ?nj=1f (1/2 ?1?i?n,i?j rixi- 1/2 rjxj) + ?ni=1 rif(xi)=nf (1/2 ?ni=1 rixi) where r1,..., rn ? R, ?ni=k rk?0, and ri,rj?0 for some 1? i < j ? n, in fuzzy normed spaces. The concept of HUR-approximation originated from Th. M. Rassias stability theorem that appeared in his paper: On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 72 (1978), 297-300.

AbstractLet E be a Banach space with dual space $E^{*}$ E ∗ , and let K be a nonempty, closed, and convex subset of E. We generalize the concept of generalized projection operator “$\Pi _{K}: E \rightarrow K$ Π K : E → K ” from uniformly convex uniformly smooth Banach spaces to uniformly convex uniformly smooth countably normed spaces and study its properties. We show the relation between J-orthogonality and generalized projection operator $\Pi _{K}$ Π K and give examples to clarify this relation. We introduce a comparison between the metric projection operator $P_{K}$ P K and the generalized projection operator $\Pi _{K}$ Π K in uniformly convex uniformly smooth complete countably normed spaces, and we give an example explaining how to evaluate the metric projection $P_{K}$ P K and the generalized projection $\Pi _{K}$ Π K in some cases of countably normed spaces, and this example illustrates that the generalized projection operator $\Pi _{K}$ Π K in general is a set-valued mapping. Also we generalize the generalized projection operator “$\pi _{K}: E^{*} \rightarrow K$ π K : E ∗ → K ” from reflexive Banach spaces to uniformly convex uniformly smooth countably normed spaces and study its properties in these spaces.

In this paper, we solve the following additive ?-functional inequalities ||f (x + y) - f (x) - f (y)|| ? ???(2f (x+y/2) - f(x) + -f (y))??, (1) where ? is a fixed complex number with |?|<1, and ??2f(x+y/2)-f(x)- f(y)???||?(f(x+y)-f(x)-f(y))||, (2) where ? is a fixed complex number with |?|<1/2 , and prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive ?-functional inequalities (1) and (2) in ?-homogeneous complex Banach spaces and prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of additive ?-functional equations associated with the additive ?-functional inequalities (1) and (2) in ?-homogeneous complex Banach spaces.

In this paper, we investigate the behavior of the sequence of $L^\Phi$-norm of functions, which are generated by differential and integral operators through their spectra (the support of the Fourier transform of a function $f$ is called its spectrum and denoted by sp$(f)$). With $Q$ being a polynomial, we introduce the notion of $Q$-primitives, which will return to the notion of primitives if ${Q}(x)= x$, and study the behavior of the sequence of norm of $Q$-primitives of functions in Orlicz space $L^\Phi(\mathbb R^n)$. We have the following main result: let $\Phi $ be an arbitrary Young function, ${Q}({\bf x} )$ be a polynomial and $(\mathcal{Q}^mf)_{m=0}^\infty \subset L^\Phi(\mathbb R^n)$ satisfies $\mathcal{Q}^0f=f, {Q}(D)\mathcal{Q}^{m+1}f=\mathcal{Q}^mf$ for $m\in\mathbb{Z}_+$. Assume that sp$(f)$ is compact and $sp(\mathcal{Q}^{m}f)= sp(f)$ for all $m\in \mathbb{Z}_+.$ Then $$ \lim\limits_{m\to \infty } \|\mathcal{Q}^m f\|_{\Phi}^{1/m}= \sup\limits_{{\bf x} \in sp(f)} \bigl|1/ {Q}({\bf x}) \bigl|. $$ The corresponding results for functions generated by differential operators and integral operators are also given.
