Background. Autism is a neurodevelopmental problem that is increasing at an alarming rate worldwide. Rearing and caring for children with autism depends upon the perception of mothers and various factors associated with it. There is a gap in the literature regarding the detailed accounts of mother’s experiences regarding autism in Nepal. Hence, this study was undertaken to explore lived experiences of mothers raising children with autism. Materials and Methods. Qualitative phenomenological study design was used and nine mothers with autistic children were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using in-depth interview guidelines and analyzed using Colaizzi’s steps. Results. Findings of the study revealed that mothers raising children with autism encountered numerous problems in their life. They felt physically exhausted due to the continuous supervision of their child. Emotional problems such as denial, upset/sadness, and worry were also common among them. In addition, all mothers faced social problems such as social blame, social isolation, and ignorance from their relatives and society due to the atypical behavior of their child. Furthermore, the economic problem was also acute among mothers due to job loss, costly medical treatment, and therapies. So, to deal with the stressors they faced, mothers adopted various coping strategies such as respite care, problem-focused strategies, religious coping, and positive coping in their everyday life. Conclusion. In conclusion, to the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study documenting the experiences of Nepalese mothers having autistic children. Hence, health care professionals need to pay more attention to address the problems of mothers while treating their autistic children. The Government of Nepal also needs to formulate a policy for the rehabilitation of autistic children in society.

This qualitative-phenomenological study aimed to explore the lived experiences of the Senior High School students in region 11, particularly their learning experience in contextualizing literature. This inquiry was gleaned from Vygotsky, Brunner, and Dewey (1997). Employing the sampling technique, snowball sampling, five (5) students were selected for the in-depth interview. Another five (5) students were selected for the focus group discussion with ten (10) students from five regions’ schools. As to the participants’ lived experiences in learning literature, the following four (4) significant themes emerged: Enjoying the familiarity of content, participating in discussions, developing knowledge expansion, and using familiar examples as learning guides. For the students’ perspective in situations that influence the challenges in contextualization, the following five (5) majors emerged: Listening carefully to the teacher, participating actively during classwork, acquiring life-long lessons, giving participation opportunities for community-based programs, and employing teaching materials. Finally, the students’ perspectives on overcoming contextualization issues were organized into three (3) primary themes. Improved knowledge through contextualization, effectively employing contextualization and learning to study well. The findings of this study are essential for academic institutions to comprehend students’ contextualization experiences. Autism is still a nightmare for most parents. Parents with autism can be very stressful when dealing with a hyperactive child's behavior, aggressive and passive. Stress experienced by parents of children with autism will affect the ability of parents in the parenting role, especially in relation to coping strategies have in dealing with problems of children. The participation of parents is crucial the success of socializing with children with autism in the general population. This study aims to determine the relationship of coping strategies parents of autistic children and parenting parents. This type of research is an analytic correlation with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all parents of autistic children in SLB Muhammadiyah Mojokerto numbering 15 people. Samples in this study were all parents of autistic children in SLB Muhammadiyah Mojokerto which totaled 15 people by using total sampling technique. Collecting data using questionnaires. Data analized use cross tabulation, presented in a frequency distribution. On cross-tabulation obtained results tend to use maladaptive coping strategies permissive parenting that is 8 (53.3%), there are also respondents who use adaptive coping strategies using authoritarian parenting as much as one person (16.7%), and adaptive coping strategies tend using democratic parenting style as much as 5 people (33.3%). Expected parents still seeking information to broaden their parents on coping strategies of parents of autistic children and parenting parents as well as parents to give special attention for children with autism to the development and advancement of their lives because they have the same rights as any other normal child.

Introduction: Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder in children that is characterized by the disruption and delays in cognitive, language, behavior, communication and social interaction. One of the ways for children with autism is the visual schedule. Visual schedule is a learning method in the form of information in a visual form that communicates a series of activities. This study aimed to determine the effects of a visual schedule to decrease problem behaviors when feeding activity and defecation in children with autism in the Foundation Board of Christian Education Wetan Jawi (YBPK) Kediri. Method: Research design was One Group Pre Post Test Design, with a population of 30 respondents, used the purposive sampling technique obtained a sample of 16 respondents. When the reseachon April 16 Until Mei 17, 2014. Results: The results showed obtained Asymp significant p = 0.011 <0.05 with Wilcoxon statistical test, which means that HO was rejected and H1 accepted schedule. It means there were visual effects on reducing behavioral problems in feeding activity and defecation in children with autism in the Foundation Board of Christian Education Wetan Jawi (YBPK) Kediri in 2014. Discussion: The Visual schedules can be applied in the treatment of autistic children who have behavior problems, because these techniques can provide influence on autistic children to be able to decrease behavior problems. An access to primary care offered by the government has been the major concern of this study, which are deprived with complicated perceptions specifically in rural areas. The study engaged a phenomenological approach that characterized human experiences, and mainly to observe the behavioral response of people involved in this research. Also, it uses a purposive sampling technique that involves handpicking participants based on pre-selected criteria. The results gained specified themes through the use of thematic analysis. Based on the identified results, there were four themes introduced in the study that encompasses the problem; and the four themes that were mentioned were Financial Barriers, Structural Barriers, Cognitive Barriers, and Psychological Barriers. Each theme has sub-themes that mimic the problem of the community to the medical society within its access to health services. With regards to this result, the researchers came up with certifying alternatives that would develop the governments’ capabilities in giving quality to health services. It was determined that people should be able to comprehend the barriers hindering them to access the health services. Thus, they should commit themselves on appealing an effective communication to the government. The lingering biases and prejudices of medical experts to the remote communities should be dissipated instantly to avoid future complications. In this similar way, the two should submit to an organized and to an effective stabilized relationship for a better response.

This study aims to determine how much influence social acceptance and support for parents of autistic children with social interaction of children with autism. The population is 30 parents of autistic children and the closestpeople who attend in PAUD Inklusi Anggrek MandiriSitubondo and the sample is the whole of the population  of some 30 people. This study is correlational; the subject is determined by purposive sampling technique. Results of the study showed that the regression analysis coefficient on F = 17.839, p = 0.000 (p <0.05) so that there is a significant relationship between self-acceptance and social support for parents of autistic children with social l interactionautistic children is received. Partially there is a significant correlation between self-acceptance with social interaction shown by prices at t = 5.018, p = 0.000, so the hypothesis is accepted. In parsal also shown at t = 1.613 p = 0.118 (p> 0.05), so the research hypothesis that says there is a relationship of social support with social interaction rejected. So overall derived price Sguare R = 0.569 which shows variable acceptance of self and social support contributed 56.9% effective this further strengthensacceptance your self parents with autistic children and social support autistic children associated with autistic children social interaction. So H0 rejected, which means acceptance of self and relationship betweensocial parents  support correlated with sociall  interactionautistic children.

This phenomenological-cross sectional study navigates the views of school heads, teachers, and learners in Kapalong East District. This phenomenological study aims to describe and understand the experiences of school heads, teachers, and learners in makeshift classrooms. This perspective encourages educators, families, and schools to understand that learners develop and learn new skills and knowledge by reacting to their environment. Five school heads, five teachers, and five learners participated in the in-depth interview and focus group discussion, selected through the purposive sampling technique. The experiences of the school heads resulted in nine major themes, which include: the makeshift classroom is not safe and conducive to learners; the makeshift classroom is an immediate solution to lack of classrooms; a big challenge to face; accepting the situation; providing support and motivation to teachers; involvement of stakeholders in the improvement of classrooms; making use of available resources, and provision of the concrete classroom. Nine major themes also emerged for teacher-participants: the makeshift classroom is not conducive and not secured; teachers used varied teaching styles; a challenge to take; integrating different strategies in teaching; motivating one’s self to do the best; being positive despite the present situation; needs for support from DepEd; integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching. Eight major themes revealed from learner-participants: not conducive to learning; willingness to learn; the desire to have a concrete and spacious classroom; determination to study; classroom cleanliness; learners should give their best to succeed, and government should provide additional concrete classroom. These results imply that having a good environment for learning can affect learners’ learning, particularly and the quality of education in general. The results of this study are critical to school heads, teachers, learners, and stakeholders in promoting better education.
