We introduce the notions of a generalized Θ -contraction, a generalized Θ E -weak contraction, a Ψ E -weak JS-contraction, an integral-type Θ E -weak contraction, and an integral-type Ψ E -weak JS-contraction to establish the fixed point, fixed ellipse, and fixed elliptic disc theorems. Further, we verify these by illustrative examples with geometric interpretations to demonstrate the authenticity of the postulates. The motivation of this work is the fact that the set of nonunique fixed points may include a geometric figure like a circle, an ellipse, a disc, or an elliptic disc. Towards the end, we provide an application of Θ -contraction to chemical sciences.

This paper aims to analyze the existence of fixed points for mappings defined on complete metric spaces satisfying almost contractive conditions and a general contractive inequality of integral type. The existence of a fixed point is ensured by hypotheses formulated in terms of equivalent metric spaces.

In this paper, without assuming continuity, commutativity and compatibility of self maps, some common fixed theorem for weak contraction of integral type in complete metric spaces are proved. An example and some remarks are also given to justify that our contraction is new and weaker than other existing contractions.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of a new nonlinear multi-valued mapping so called weakly (α, ψ, ξ)-contractive mapping and prove fixed point results for such mappings in metric spaces. Our results unify, generalize and complement various results from the literature. We give some examples which support our main results while previous results in literature are not applicable. Also, we analyze the existence of fixed points for mappings satisfying a general contractive inequality of integral type. Many fixed point results for multi-valued mappings in metric spaces endowed with an arbitrary binary relation and metric spaces endowed with graph are given here to illustrate the results in this paper.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce the notion of an F-weak contraction and prove a fixed point theorem for F-weak contractions. Examples are given to show that our result is a proper extension of some results known in the literature

We obtain sufficient conditions for existence of fixed points of integral type contractive mappings on an S^{JS}- metric spaces. We also study common fixed point and couple fixed point of integral type mappings and construct examples to support our results.

The existence and iterative approximations of fixed points concerning two classes of integral-type multivalued contractive mappings in complete metric spaces are proved, and the stability of fixed point sets relative to these multivalued contractive mappings is established. The results obtained in this article generalize and improve some known results in the literature. An illustrative example is given.

We prove common fixed point theorems for weakly commuting and occasionally coincidentally idempotent L-fuzzy mappings in ordered b-metric spaces. We also obtain common fixed point for pair of mapping satisfying (JCLR) property. An application to integral type and usual contractive condition is given.

We analyze the existence of fixed points for mappings defined on complete metric spaces(X,d)satisfying a general contractive inequality of integral type. This condition is analogous to Banach-Caccioppoli's one; in short, we study mappingsf:X→Xfor which there exists a real numberc∈]0,1[, such that for eachx,y∈Xwe have∫0d(fx,fy)φ(t)dt≤c∫0d(x,y)φ(t)dt, whereφ:[0,+∞[→[0,+∞]is a Lebesgue-integrable mapping which is summable on each compact subset of[0,+∞[, nonnegative and such that for eachε>0,∫0εφ(t)dt>0.

In this paper, the concept of a new ?-generalized quasi metric space is introduced. A number of well-known quasi metric spaces are retrieved from ?-generalized quasi metric space. Some general fixed point theorems in a ?-generalized quasi metric spaces are proved, which generalize, modify and unify some existing fixed point theorems in the literature. We also give applications of our results to obtain fixed points for contraction mappings in the domain of words and to prove the existence of periodic solutions of delay differential equations.
