Taking northwestern China’s Shaanxi Province as the object, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system (CES) for new urbanization and a CES for eco-environment. On this basis, the coordination coupling between new urbanization and eco-environment in Shaanxi and its key factors were evaluated and analyzed, using composite index method, relative development level model, coupling degree model, and coordination coupling degree (CCD) model. The results show that the development level of new urbanization in the province increased linearly, while that of eco-environment rose slowly; the relative development between the two systems gradually changed from the development lag of eco-environment to the development lag of new urbanization; the CCD between the two shifted from medium incoordination to high coordination; the coordinated development between the two systems is greatly driven by per-capita gross domestic product (GDP) in the new urbanization system, and the park area in the eco-environment system.

Construction of urban waterscape parks based on ecological concepts and functions is becoming the tendency of modern urban parks. Unfortunately, there are no suitable evaluation systems for these parks. This study establishes a comprehensive evaluation system for a landscape and its functions via the analytic hierarchy process and the comprehensive index method. The evaluation model consisted of 3 evaluation indexes and 23 evaluation indicators relevant to the landscape characteristics of Houtan Park of the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai, China. The evaluation indicators were monitored from 2006 to 2010, and the results of the investigation led to the following conclusions: the park fulfills a range of desirable functions, and ranks high in aesthetic, economic and societal values; ecological functions were applied well within the landscape, and following ecological restoration and the construction of a functional aquatic ecosystem, the water quality of Houtan River has been continuously purified from inferior class V~ class V to class III~ class I range, while the heavy metals in the sediment were improved from inferior class V~ class V to class I; the biodiversity was improved from 0.72 into 1.49; and the results for other indicators were improved overall. In general, the comprehensive score of the evaluation increased from 1.227 to 4.341. Although minor problems remain to be solved, the results indicate that the design concept and construction methods applied in Houtan Park are well applicable to sustainable landscapes, and the evaluation system as a whole can be extended and applied in similar cases.

The objective of this study is to innovatively evaluate the biochemistry performance of α-chitosan from Portunus trituberculatus shell and β-chitosan from Illex argentinus squid gladius by using the weighted composite index method, and provide a theoretical basis for better development and utilization of chitosan biomedical materials. To build a composite evaluation system, seven key indicators, including molecular weight (Mw), deacetylation degree (DD), water binding capacity (WBC), fat binding capacity (FBC), thermal stability (TS), primary structure and secondary structure, which significantly affect chitosan biochemical characteristics, were determined and analyzed. The viscosity average Mw of chitosan was in the range of 22.5–377.1 kDa, and the DD was 83.4–97.8%. Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses of commercial chitosan (CS), crab chitosan (CSC) and squid chitosan (CSS) showed a downward trend in TS, while WBC and FBC showed an obvious upward trend. FT-IR had a similar profile in peak shape, but the peak position slightly shifted. CD indicated that chitosan maintained the double helix structure and multiple secondary structural elements. The composite weighted index values of CS, CSC and CSS were 0.85, 0.94 and 1.31 respectively, which indicated that the CSS biochemistry performance was significantly better than CSC, and β-chitosan has great potential in biomedical materials.

Referring the “stress-state-response” (PSR) model, the index system of low-carbon city was constructed. The Immune Evolution Chaos Weed Algorithm was used to optimize the Weber Fechner index formula and the universal Carson index formula. A low-carbon city evaluation method was established and applied to evaluate the low-carbon development level of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing in 2015. The results showed that the evaluation results of the Weber Fechner index formula and the universal Carson index formula for the four cities were basically the same. The low-carbon development level (Weber Fechner Composite Index XI) of the four cities in 2015 was ranked as follows: Beijing (0.590), Shanghai (0.499), Tianjin (0.467), Chongqing (0.461).

t can provide the basis on drafting the regional general aviation development policy for government departments and civil aviation regulatory agencies by analyzing the regional general aviation development level scientifically. The regional development level of general aviation in 2009 is chosen as the research object. According to the seven regional administration of Civil Aviation Administration of China (North China, Northeast, East China, Central and southern, Southwest, Northwest, Xinjiang), the region of general aviation is divided into seven parts. The evaluation system of operational scale and operational efficiency of regional general aviation is established. The weights of the seven indicators in the evaluation system are determined by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the development level of seven region of general aviation is evaluated by Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method. Finally, the development levels of seven region of general aviation are settled by the values of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation. The relative good and weak regions of general aviation development are identified.

The weakness of the existing system of urbanization comprehensive evaluation is: evaluation Indexes were not comprehensive, and the evaluation system can’t reflect the real situation; analysis method was complex, and difficult to operate. We established evaluation index system from the economic development, social development, living, environment, infrastructure, spatial density, and urban-rural gap. We used entropy and comprehensive evaluation method to process and analyze the indicators. The results show that the quality of urbanization development is obviously different in Shaanxi Province, the effect of secondary cities is not obvious to promote the development, and the internal gap is still large in provincial cities and sub-index level.

A field experiment was carried out to screen low phosphorus tolerance indexes in common bean. Analysis and comparison of the coefficient of variation of the relative values of phosphorus efficiency-related indexes in 30 common bean varieties subjected to different phosphorus treatments were identified. Plant dry matter weight, phosphorus accumulation, and acid phosphatase activity are important indexes for determining low-phosphorus tolerance. A comprehensive evaluation system for low-phosphorus tolerance in common bean was established using the fuzzy membership function method. Varieties with a composite index ≥ 0.49 were identified as low phosphorus tolerant varieties, including “Longyun 13,” “Longyun 6,” and “Long17- 3525,” while varieties with a composite index ≤ 0.27 were identified as varieties sensitive to low phosphorus, including “Long12-2752,” “NR,” and “Long15-1554.” Bangladesh J. Product evaluation is very important for product improvement and development, and subjective product evaluation determines customer’s evaluation of products to some extent, so the purpose of this study is to establish a reasonable subjective product evaluation system. In this study, we comprehensively determine the evaluation indexes based on Kansei engineering (KE), establish an overall product evaluation system by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and establish the subjective product evaluation system by classifying the evaluation indexes in the overall product evaluation system into “objective evaluation index” and “subjective evaluation index”, removing the objective evaluation indexes, and retaining the subjective evaluation indexes. Additionally, we select some modern chairs as experimental samples to verify the reliability and validity of this subjective product evaluation system by means of questionnaires. The experimental results show that, in this subjective product evaluation system, the subjective evaluation of the product is positively correlated with the “favorite” level of the product in comprehensive evaluation, and negatively correlated with the “least favorite” level of the product in comprehensive evaluation, indicating that this subjective product evaluation system realizes a symmetry between subjective product evaluation and comprehensive product evaluation. Therefore, it can be concluded that this subjective product evaluation system based on KE and AHP proposed in this study has reliability and validity, and can be used for product evaluation to judge the popularity of products and enhance the competitiveness of products.
