COVID-19 has caused a huge mayhem globally. Different economic freedom leads to different performances of a country’s reaction to the pandemic. We study 164 countries and apply mathematical and statistical approaches to tackle the problem: whether economic freedom has a significant impact on the death of COVID-19. We devise a metric, some norms, and some orderings to construct an absolute reference and the actual relation via binary sequences. Then, we use the theoretical binary sequences to construct a probability distribution which linearises the strength of relation between economic freedom and death of COVID-19. Then, the actual relation from the data analysis provides an evidence to the hypothetical testing. Our analysis and model show that there is no significant relation between economic freedom and death of COVID-19.

This study aimed to determine the reality of education and religious insight of madrasah teachers as well as the relationship between education and religious insights with madrasah teachers’ work motivation in Serang District, Banten Province. The method used is descriptive method with case study approach and quantitative data analysis. The research sites were at Sultan Agung Madrasah Tirtayasa, Nurul Huda Madrasah Baros and Raudhatul Ulum Madrasah Anyer. The respondents were 50 councilors in each madrasah. Data collection techniques used in the study were questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Based on the data analysis using statistical approaches and the development of a linear regression formula and multiple regression, correlation values are quite high among the variables of educational insights (X1) with the variables of madrasah teachers’ work motivation (Y); and between variables of religious insight (X2) with the madrasah teachers’ work motivation (Y); as well as between the variables of religious and education insight (X1 and X2) with the variables of madrasah teachers’ work motivation (Y).

Abstract Data mining, statistics, and data analysis are popular techniques to study datasets and extract knowledge from them. In this article, principal component analysis and factor analysis were applied to cluster thirteen different given arrangements about the Suras of the Holy Quran. The results showed that these thirteen arrangements can be categorized in two parts such that the first part includes Blachère, Davood, Grimm, Nöldeke, Bazargan, E’temad-al-Saltane and Muir, and the second part includes Ebn Nadim, Jaber, Ebn Abbas, Hazrat Ali, Khazan, and Al-Azhar.

This study estimated the influence of economic freedom in transition economies between the years 2000-2012 on economic growth by using panel data analysis. Economic freedom index developed by Fraser Institute was used in the study. The index values prepared by this institute do not cover all economies in transition. In addition, there is missing data for the periods that the study covers in terms of some countries. Thus, the analysis uses the data about 15 economies in transition. The study was conducted within the scope of two different models. In one of these models, the global economic crisis of 2009 was also included. As a conclusion, a negative relationship was found between economic freedom and economic growth when the crisis was not included; however, there was a positive but statistically insignificant relationship when the crisis was taken into consideration.

In the sphere of social research, one of the principal methodological approaches is that of the survey. In the performance of surveys, statistics play a fundamental role. This publication is intended to highlight this role, with special reference to data analysis, placing the emphasis on the objectives of such analysis, the logic, the procedures necessary to achieve them, and the interpretation of results. The material has been divided into two volumes, which while being independent are also logically connected. The first volume is organised in two sections: the first is designed to provide a synthetic overview of the statistical survey in terms of methods and instruments, while the second describes the principal instruments of statistical analysis which enable a description of the data. The first volume comes complete with a CD with hypertext. The second volume presents the statistical approaches which enable the achievement of specific objectives, seen in terms of data exploration and verification of the results obtained.
