In this paper, we first present a complex multirational exp-function ansatz for constructing explicit solitary wave solutions, N-wave solutions, and rouge wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) with complex coefficients. To illustrate the effectiveness of the complex multirational exp-function ansatz, we then consider a generalized nonlinear Schrödinger (gNLS) equation with distributed coefficients. As a result, some explicit rational exp-function solutions are obtained, including solitary wave solutions, N-wave solutions, and rouge wave solutions. Finally, we simulate some spatial structures and dynamical evolutions of the modules of the obtained solutions for more insights into these complex rational waves. It is shown that the complex multirational exp-function ansatz can be used for explicit solitary wave solutions, N-wave solutions, and rouge wave solutions of some other nonlinear PDEs with complex coefficients.

AbstractIn this research work, for the first time we introduced and described the new method, which is modified extended auxiliary equation mapping method. We investigated the new exact traveling and families of solitary wave solutions of two well-known nonlinear evaluation equations, which are generalized Zakharov-Kuznetsov-Benjamin-Bona-Mahony and simplified modified forms of Camassa-Holm equations. We used a new technique and we successfully obtained the new families of solitary wave solutions. As a result, these new solutions are obtained in the form of elliptic functions, trigonometric functions, kink and antikink solitons, bright and dark solitons, periodic solitary wave and traveling wave solutions. These new solutions show the power and fruitfulness of this new method. We can solve other nonlinear partial differential equations with the use of this method.

This paper examines three different recent computational schemes (extended simplest equation (ESE) method, modified Kudryashov (MKud) method, and modified Khater (MKha) method) for obtaining novel solitary wave solutions of cubic–quintic nonlinear Helmholtz (CQ–NLH) model. This model is considered as a general model of the well-known Schrödinger equation where it takes into account the effects of backward scattering that are neglected in the more common nonlinear Schrödinger model. Many distinct wave solutions are explained in the different formulas, such as trigonometric, rational, and hyperbolic formulas. These solutions are described in some precise sketches in two- and three-dimensional. The methods’ performance is explained to demonstrate their effectiveness and power.

Abstract The Jacobi elliptic function solutions of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations, including the coupled modified KdV (mKdV) equations, long-short-wave interaction system and the Davey- Stewartson (DS) equations, are obtained by using the mixed dn-sn method. The solutions obtained in this paper include the single and the combined Jacobi elliptic function solutions. In the limiting case, the solitary wave solutions of the systems are also given. - PACS: 02.30.Jr; 03.40.Kf; 03.65.Fd
