To develop a Tm-shift method for detection of dog-derived Ancylostoma ceylanicum and A. caninum, three sets of primers were designed based on three SNPs (ITS71, ITS197, and ITS296) of their internal transcribed spacer 1 (ITS1) sequences. The detection effect of the Tm-shift was assessed through the stability, sensitivity, accuracy test, and clinical detection. The results showed that these three sets of primers could distinguish accurately between A. ceylanicum and A. caninum. The coefficient of variation in their Tm values on the three SNPs was 0.09% and 0.15% (ITS71), 0.18% and 0.14% (ITS197), and 0.13% and 0.07% (ITS296), respectively. The lowest detectable concentration of standard plasmids for A. ceylanicum and A. caninum was 5.33 × 10−6 ng/μL and 5.03 × 10−6 ng/μL. The Tm-shift results of ten DNA samples from the dog-derived hookworms were consistent with their known species. In the clinical detection of 50 fecal samples from stray dogs, the positive rate of hookworm detected by Tm-shift (42%) was significantly higher than that by microscopic examination (34%), and the former can identify the Ancylostoma species. It is concluded that the Tm-shift method is rapid, specific, sensitive, and suitable for the clinical detection and zoonotic risk assessment of the dog-derived hookworm.

Inertia force is an important factor for operation stability and stamping precision of high-speed punch; adjusting drive torque of high-speed punch can realize effective control of inertia force. In this paper, a kind of 600 KN multilink high-speed punch inertia force balancing mechanism was designed. The calculation model of ideal inertia force was proposed based on conservation of energy and numerical analysis method. In addition, the calculation model of ideal driving torque were analyzed, simplified, and corrected by using numerical calculation and simulation methods, which solved the problem of controlling inertia force from the perspective of driving torque and realized the stability strategy planning of high-speed multilink punch press. Finally, the proposed ideal driving torque calculation model was simulated and verified by ADAMAS and bottom-dead-point accuracy test was carried out.

Summary We present a robust and nonparametric test for the presence of a changepoint in a time series, based on the two-sample Hodges–Lehmann estimator. We develop new limit theory for a class of statistics based on two-sample U-quantile processes in the case of short-range dependent observations. Using this theory, we derive the asymptotic distribution of our test statistic under the null hypothesis of a constant level. The proposed test shows better overall performance under normal, heavy-tailed and skewed distributions than several other modifications of the popular cumulative sums test based on U-statistics, one-sample U-quantiles or M-estimation. The new theory does not involve moment conditions, so any transform of the observed process can be used to test the stability of higher-order characteristics such as variability, skewness and kurtosis.

Defects such as insulator, pins, and counterweight in highvoltage transmission lines affect the stability of the power system. The small targets such as pins in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inspection images of transmission lines occupy a small proportion in the images and the characteristic representations are poor which results a low defect detection rate and a high false positive rate. This paper proposed a transmission line pin defect detection algorithm based on improved Faster R-CNN. First, the pre-training weights with higher matching degree are obtained based on transfer learning. And it is applied to construct defect detection model. Then, the regional proposal network is used to extract features in the model. The results of defect detection are obtained by regression calculation and classification of regional characteristics. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the pin defect detection of the transmission line reaches 81.25%

AbstractTumor cells with heterogeneity and diversity can express different markers. At present, positive separation of circulating tumor cells (CTC) taking EpCAM as the marker was used in most cases which could be one-sided, while this study successfully prepared four antibody-modified magnetic immunoliposomes (MIL) by using the self-assembled liposome with antibody derivatives. This study aims to explore the separation efficiency and clinical detection feasibility of single or combined use of MIL with multi-tumor markers on different tumors. Captured CTC were stained with CK-FITC, CD45-PE and DAPI, and fluorescence microscope was used for the observation, analysis and calculation. The result indicated that the CTC number positive rate in blood samples of four different magnetic balls on the same patient could be up to 87.5% in 32 patients with 14 different kinds tumors. While the effect of directly mixed separation by four kinds of magnetic balls was not satisfying. It suggested that the MIL of multi-tumor markers could be a powerful tool for CTC separation in application of tumor screening and prognosis.

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) imposes a very serious threat to the stability of the Internet. Compared with many detection approaches, detecting DDoS attacks based on entropy has advantages such as simplicity, high sensitivity and low false positive rate. But the method with single attribute entropy has high false positive rate when detecting attribute forged attacks. This paper presents a detecting method based on joint entropy and a filtering way based on conditional entropy. The efficiency of this scheme is validated with simulation on the research lab network.

A coupled chip aiming at economical and highly selective ammonium detection was fabricated. It consisted of a reaction chip, a gas-diffusion chip, and a detection chip. Zinc tetraphenylporphyrin dyed on the cation-exchange resin microbeads was used as the indicating material to avoid excess consumption for its reversibility. PDMS was selected as the material of the gas-diffusion membrane. A portable spectrometer was applied for spectrum analysis. By analysis of spectrum change, the high selectivity was confirmed because no component had interference on detection effect. Good performance was shown for all the tested concentrations (0.2–50 mg·L−1). The stability and reversibility were also judged by the spectrum data obtained from the indicating process and the recovering process. Finally, real samples containing ammonium were tested and the results were compared to those came from a standard method to confirm the accuracy of our method.

Human hookworm infections caused by adult <i>Ancylostoma</i> spp. and <i>Necator americanus</i> are one of the most important tropical diseases. We performed a survey of intestinal helminths using the Kato-Katz fecal examination technique targeting 1,156 villagers residing in 2 northern provinces (Preah Vihear and Stung Treng) of Cambodia in 2018. The results revealed a high overall egg positive rate of intestinal helminths (61.9%), and the egg positive rate of hookworms was 11.6%. Nine of the hookworm egg positive cases in Preah Vihear Province were treated with 5-10 mg/kg pyrantel pamoate followed by purging with magnesium salts, and a total of 65 adult hookworms were expelled in diarrheic stools. The adult hookworms were analyzed morphologically and molecularly to confirm the species. The morphologies of the buccal cavity and dorsal rays on the costa were observed with a light microscope, and the nucleotide sequences of mitochondrial cytochrome <i>c</i> oxidase subunit 1 (<i>cox</i>1) gene were analyzed. The majority of the hookworm adults (90.7%) were <i>N. americanus</i>, whereas the remaining 9.3% were <i>Ancylostoma ceylanicum</i>, a rare hookworm species infecting humans. The results revealed a high prevalence of hookworm infections among people in a northern part of Cambodia, suggesting the necessity of a sustained survey combined with control measures against hookworm infections.

Conti: One of the main conclusions of the Wolf-Rayet symposium in Buenos Aires was that Wolf-Rayet stars are evolutionary products of massive objects. Some questions:–Do hot helium-rich stars, that are not Wolf-Rayet stars, exist?–What about the stability of helium rich stars of large mass? We know a helium rich star of ∼40 MO. Has the stability something to do with the wind?–Ring nebulae and bubbles : this seems to be a much more common phenomenon than we thought of some years age.–What is the origin of the subtypes? This is important to find a possible matching of scenarios to subtypes.

AbstractBy using the stability condition and general formulas developed by Fukushima (1998 = Paper I) we discovered that, just as in the case of the explicit symmetric multistep methods (Quinlan and Tremaine, 1990), when integrating orbital motions of celestial bodies, the implicit symmetric multistep methods used in the predictor-corrector manner lead to integration errors in position which grow linearly with the integration time if the stepsizes adopted are sufficiently small and if the number of corrections is sufficiently large, say two or three. We confirmed also that the symmetric methods (explicit or implicit) would produce the stepsize-dependent instabilities/resonances, which was discovered by A. Toomre in 1991 and confirmed by G.D. Quinlan for some high order explicit methods. Although the implicit methods require twice or more computational time for the same stepsize than the explicit symmetric ones do, they seem to be preferable since they reduce these undesirable features significantly.
