The application of fractional calculus in the rheological problems has been widely accepted. In this study, the constitutive relationship of the generalized Kelvin model based on fractional calculus was studied, and the meshless method was introduced so as to derive a new meshless algorithm formula based on the fractional calculus of the generalized Kelvin model. By using the MTS815.02 hydraulic servo rock mechanics test system, the creep test of mudstones is carried out, and the related data of the creep process were obtained. Based on the generalized Kelvin model of fractional calculus, the related creep parameters of the argillaceous sandstone under compression were fitted. The results showed that the solution of the generalized Kelvin model based on fractional calculus was greatly consistent with the numerical method solution. Meanwhile, the meshless algorithm based on fractional calculus had a favorable stability and accuracy.

The periodontal ligament (PDL) exhibits different material mechanical properties along the long axis of the teeth. To explore the creep and the relaxation effects of dissimilar layers of PDL, this paper took the central incisors of porcine mandibular as experimental subjects and divided them perpendicular to the teeth axis into five layers. Creep experiments and relaxation experiments on five layers were conducted to obtain the creep compliance and relaxation modulus at different layers. Linear elastic model, generalized Kelvin model, and generalized Maxwell model were used to describe the major characteristics of the PDL: Instantaneous elasticity, creep and relaxation. Fitting accuracy of three-parameter, five-parameter, and seven-parameter of the model was compared, and the constitutive equations of different layers were established by the least square method. The results presented that the creep strain and the relaxation stress of PDL were exponentially correlated with time under different loading conditions. Different layers showed a significant effect on the creep strain and relaxation stress of PDL. Along the long axis of the teeth, the changing rule of the creep compliance and relaxation modulus of each layer showed quite the contrary, and the instantaneous elastic modulus first decreased to the minimum, then increased to the maximum. Higher instantaneous elastic modulus led to lower creep compliance and higher relaxation modulus. The generalized Kelvin model and the generalized Maxwell model well characterized the creep and relaxation properties of PDL. Fitting accuracy increased with the number of model parameters. The relaxation time of PDL was about one order of magnitude shorter than the creep retardation time, which indicated that the relaxation effect lasted shorter than the creep effect.

In this paper, we present a circular motion of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow for a heated generalized Oldroyd-B fluid. The fractional calculus approach is introduced to establish the constitutive relationship of a viscoelastic fluid. The velocity and temperature fields of the flow are described by fractional partial differential equations. Exact analytical solutions of velocity and temperature fields are obtained by using Hankel transform and Laplace transform for fractional calculus. Results for ordinary viscous flow are deduced by making the fractional order of differential tend to one and zero. It is shown that the fractional constitutive relation model is more useful than the conventional model for describing the properties of viscoelastic fluid.

A rock creep constitutive model is the core content of rock rheological mechanics theory and is of great significance for studying the long-term stability of engineering. Most of the creep models constructed in previous studies have complex types and many parameters. Based on fractional calculus theory, this paper explores the creep curve characteristics of the creep elements with the fractional order change, constructs a nonlinear viscoelastic-plastic creep model of rock based on fractional calculus, and deduces the creep constitutive equation. By using a user-defined function fitting tool of the Origin software and the Levenberg–Marquardt optimization algorithm, the creep test data are fitted and compared. The fitting curve is in good agreement with the experimental data, which shows the rationality and applicability of the proposed nonlinear viscoelastic-plastic creep model. Through sensitivity analysis of the fractional order β2 and viscoelastic coefficient ξ2, the influence of these creep parameters on rock creep is clarified. The research results show that the nonlinear viscoelastic-plastic creep model of rock based on fractional calculus constructed in this paper can well describe the creep characteristics of rock, and this model has certain theoretical significance and engineering application value for long-term engineering stability research.

Due to the advantages of low porosity, low permeability, high ductility, and excellent capacities for creep and damage self-healing, salt rock is internationally considered as the ideal medium for underground storage of energy and disposal of radioactive waste. As one of the most important mechanical properties of salt rock, creep properties are closely related to the long-term operation stability and safety of salt rock underground storage cavern. A comprehensive review on the creep properties and constitutive model of salt rock is put forward in this paper. The opinions and suggestions on the research priority and direction of salt rock's mechanical properties in the future are put forward: (1) permeability variation of salt rock under the coupling effect of temperature and stress; (2) damage mechanism and evolution process under the effect of creep-fatigue interaction and low frequency cyclic loading; (3) microdeformation mechanisms of salt rock and the relationship between microstructure variations and macrocreep behavior during creep process; (4) the establishment of the creep damage constitutive model with simple form, less parameters, easy application, and considering the damage self-healing ability of salt rock simultaneously.

The intake system of our public university is each university conduct individual admission test. Each university has its self-admission test system. The student has to take part in the admission test for a particular subject and individual faculty of a university. In this scenario, the student has to take part in many admission tests. It's tough, time-consuming and costly to participate in many admission tests. In this circumstance, it's very much essential to discover a different or alternative process so that we can come out from such botheration and hassles. No method has been developed yet to release from these complexities and problems. This paper presents the issues of traditional admission system and how to solve this problem. To get a highly accurate model, admission related data is collected, then data is filtered, analysis and several experiments were executed. In this paper, we proposed three models that serve as the core design for the university admission system and then it is checked by a survey form, whether the model validates the requirements or not. The integrated admission system is convenient among three models. This model can reduce the limitation of the traditional admission system and provide a quality admission process.

The development of fractures, which determine the complexity of coal creep characteristics, is the main physical property of coal relative to other rocks. This study conducted a series of multistage creep tests to investigate the creep behavior of coal under different stress levels. A negative elastic modulus and a non-Newtonian component were introduced into the classical Nishihara model based on the theoretical analysis of the experimental results to propose a nonlinear viscoelastic–plastic creep model for describing the non-decay creep behavior of coal. The validity of the model was verified by experimental data. The results show that this improved model can preferably exhibit decelerating, steady state, and accelerating creep behavior during the non-decay creep process. The fitting accuracy of the improved model was significantly higher than that of the classical Nishihara model. Given that acceleration creep is a critical stage in predicting the instability and failure of coal, its successful description using this improved model is crucial for the prevention and control of coal dynamic disasters.
