This paper studies the problem of dynamically modeling the quality of web service. The philosophy of designing practical web service recommender systems is delivered in this paper. A general system architecture for such systems continuously collects the user-service invocation records and includes both an online training module and an offline training module for quality prediction. In addition, we introduce matrix factorization-based online and offline training algorithms based on the gradient descent algorithms and demonstrate the fitness of this online/offline algorithm framework to the proposed architecture. The superiority of the proposed model is confirmed by empirical studies on a real-life quality of web service data set and comparisons with existing web service recommendation algorithms.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a relapsing, inflammatory disease characterized by painful nodules, abscesses, sinuses track formation and scarring. HS has a great impact on patients’ quality of life and its treatment may be really challenging. Adalimumab provides a new therapeutic option for HS. Our aim was to assess the therapeutic potential of adalimumab on patients with HS based on the data from the daily clinical practice of an HS Outpatient Clinic. 19 patients with clinically evident moderate to severe HS, under adalimumab treatment for at least 24 week, participated in this observational, retrospective study. The Hidradenitis Suppurativa Physician’s Global Assessment scale, Modified Santorius scale and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) at baseline, week 4, week 12 and week 24 were retrieved from the records. Both Modified Santorius score and DLQI were significantly decreased during the weeks of evaluation (Friedman’s test; P < 0.001). The proportion of patients who achieved clinical response was 10.5% (n = 2) at week 4, 42.1% (n = 8) at week 12 and 63.2% (n = 12) at week 24. Treatment with adalimumab was linked with both clinical remission of HS and improvement of patients’ quality of life.

Evaluation is an analytical and organized process to figure out the present positive influences, favourable future prospects, existing shortcomings and ulterior complexities of any plan, program, practice or a policy. Evaluation of policy is an essential and vital process required to measure the performance or progression of the scheme. The main purpose of policy evaluation is to empower various stakeholders and enhance their socio-economic environment. A large number of policies or schemes in different areas are launched by government in view of citizen welfare. Although, the governmental policies intend to better shape up the life quality of people but may also impact their every day’s life. A latest governmental scheme Saubhagya launched by Indian government in 2017 has been selected for evaluation by applying opinion mining techniques. The data set of public opinion associated with this scheme has been captured by Twitter. The primary intent is to offer opinion mining as a smart city technology that harness the user-generated big data and analyse it to offer a sustainable governance model.

Dupilumab is an anti-interleukin-4 receptor monoclonal antibody that was recently approved for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD). In this single-center retrospective study, clinical baseline data of 117 severe AD patients treated with dupilumab were collected. At baseline and at weeks 4 and 16, disease severity was assessed through the Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) and quality of life through the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) questionnaire, Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Peak Pruritus Numerical Rating Scale (NRS-itch), and VAS-sleep. Response to dupilumab was defined as an improvement of ≥75% in EASI from baseline (EASI75). At multivariate analysis, AD onset before 18 years [OR, 2.9; 95% CI, 1.2–7.2; p = 0.0207] and absence of hypereosinophilia [OR, 2.24; 95% CI, 1.03–4.86; p = 0.0412] were identified as significant predictive parameters for response to dupilumab in terms of EASI75 at week 4 but not at week 16. Significant reductions in EASI, DLQI, POEM, HADS, NRS-itch, and VAS-sleep were found between week 4 versus baseline (p < 0.0001 for all) and week 16 versus baseline (p < 0.0001 for all). Early AD onset and absence of hypereosinophilia may be suggested as predictive markers of early response to dupilumab. We confirmed the efficacy and safety of this agent along with the improvement of life quality in severe AD patients.

Testing is very essential in Data warehouse systems for decision making because the accuracy, validation and correctness of data depends on it. By looking to the characteristics and complexity of iData iwarehouse, iin ithis ipaper, iwe ihave itried ito ishow the scope of automated testing in assuring ibest data iwarehouse isolutions. Firstly, we developed a data set generator for creating synthetic but near to real data; then in isynthesized idata, with ithe help of hand icoded Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) routine, anomalies are classified. For the quality assurance of data for a Data warehouse and to give the idea of how important the iExtraction, iTransformation iand iLoading iis, some very important test cases were identified. After that, to ensure the quality of data, the procedures of automated testing iwere iembedded iin ihand icoded iETL iroutine. Statistical analysis was done and it revealed a big enhancement in the quality of data with the procedures of automated testing. It enhances the fact that automated testing gives promising results in the data warehouse quality. For effective and easy maintenance of distributed data,a novel architecture was proposed. Although the desired result of this research is achieved successfully and the objectives are promising, but still there's a need to validate the results with the real life environment, as this research was done in simulated environment, which may not always give the desired results in real life environment. Hence, the overall potential of the proposed architecture can be seen until it is deployed to manage the real data which is distributed globally.

How to assure Quality of Service (QoS) of the third-party services is very important for the SOA. Effective monitoring technique towards QoS, which is an important measurement for third-party service quality, is necessary to ensure quality of Web service. Current monitoring approaches do not consider the influences of environment factors such as the position of server, user usage, and the load at runtime. Ignoring these influences, which do exist among the monitoring process, may cause existing monitoring approaches producing unpredictable monitoring results. In order to overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a novel Web Service QoS (WS-Qos) monitoring approach sensitive to environmental factors called weighted Bayesian Runtime Monitor (wBSRM) based on weighted naïve Bayesian classifiers and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) algorithm. wBSRM constructs weighted naïve Bayesian classifier by learning a part of samples to classify the monitoring results. The results meeting QoS standard are classified as [Formula: see text] and the one that does not meet is classified as [Formula: see text]. Classifier can also output ratio between posterior probability of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and consequently the analysis can lead to three monitoring results including [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] or inconclusive. A set of dedicated experiments are conducted to validate wBSRM. The experiments are based on a public dataset and a simulated dataset under the given standard. The experimental results demonstrate that wBSRM is better than previous approaches.
