We study the destruction of heavy quarkonium due to the entropic force in a deformed AdS5 model. The effects of the deformation parameter on the interdistance and the entropic force are investigated. The influence of the deformation parameter on the quarkonium dissociation is analyzed. It is shown that the interdistance increases in the presence of the deformation parameter. In addition, the deformation parameter has the effect of decreasing the entropic force. These results imply that the quarkonium dissociates harder in a deformed AdS background than in a usual AdS background, in agreement with earlier findings.

AbstractThe imaginary potential and entropic force are two important different mechanisms to characterize the dissociation of heavy quarkonia. In this paper, we calculate these two quantities in strongly coupled theories with anisotropic Lifshitz scaling and hyperscaling violation exponent using holographic methods. We study how the results are affected by the hyperscaling violation parameter $$ \theta $$ θ and the dynamical exponent z at finite temperature and chemical potential. Also, we investigate the effect of the chemical potential on these quantities. As a result, we find that both mechanisms show the same results: the thermal width and the dissociation length decrease as the dynamical exponent and chemical potential increase or as the hyperscaling violating parameter decreases.

We construct recently introduced palatial NC twistors by considering the pair of conjugated (Born-dual) twist-deformed D=4 quantum inhomogeneous conformal Hopf algebras Uθ(su(2,2)⋉T4) and Uθ¯(su(2,2)⋉T¯4), where T4 describes complex twistor coordinates and T¯4 the conjugated dual twistor momenta. The palatial twistors are suitably chosen as the quantum-covariant modules (NC representations) of the introduced Born-dual Hopf algebras. Subsequently, we introduce the quantum deformations of D=4 Heisenberg-conformal algebra (HCA) su(2,2)⋉Hℏ4,4 (Hℏ4,4=T¯4⋉ℏT4 is the Heisenberg algebra of twistorial oscillators) providing in twistorial framework the basic covariant quantum elementary system. The class of algebras describing deformation of HCA with dimensionfull deformation parameter, linked with Planck length λp, is called the twistorial DSR (TDSR) algebra, following the terminology of DSR algebra in space-time framework. We describe the examples of TDSR algebra linked with Palatial twistors which are introduced by the Drinfeld twist and the quantization map in Hℏ4,4. We also introduce generalized quantum twistorial phase space by considering the Heisenberg double of Hopf algebra Uθ(su(2,2)⋉T4).

Abstract We analyse the $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ deformation of 2d CFTs in a special double-scaling limit, of large central charge and small deformation parameter. In particular, we derive closed formulae for the deformation of the product of left and right moving CFT characters on the torus. It is shown that the 1/c contribution takes the same form as that of a CFT, but with rescalings of the modular parameter reflecting a state-dependent change of coordinates. We also extend the analysis for more general deformations that involve $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ , $$ J\overline{T} $$ J T ¯ and $$ T\overline{J} $$ T J ¯ simultaneously. We comment on the implications of our results for holographic proposals of irrelevant deformations.

We discuss quantum algebraic structures of the systems of electrons or quasiparticles on a sphere on whose center a magnetic monopole is located. We verify that the deformation parameter is related to the filling ratio of the particles in each case.
