An intuitionistic fuzzy VIKOR (IF-VIKOR) method is proposed based on a new distance measure considering the waver of intuitionistic fuzzy information. The method aggregates all individual decision-makers’ assessment information based on intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging operator (IFWA), determines the weights of decision-makers and attributes objectively using intuitionistic fuzzy entropy, calculates the group utility and individual regret by the new distance measure, and then reaches a compromise solution. It can be effectively applied to multiattribute decision-making (MADM) problems where the weights of decision-makers and attributes are completely unknown and the attribute values are intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). The validity and stability of this method are verified by example analysis and sensitivity analysis, and its superiority is illustrated by the comparison with the existing method.

Supplier selection, the process of finding the right suppliers who are able to provide the buyer with the right quality products and/or services at the right price, at the right time and in the right quantities, is one of the most critical activities for establishing an effective supply chain, and is typically a multi-criteria group decision problem. In many practical situations, there usually exists incomplete and uncertain information, and the decision makers cannot easily express their judgments on the candidates with exact and crisp values. Therefore, in this paper an extended VIKOR method for group decision making with intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is proposed to solve the supplier selection problem under incomplete and uncertain information environment. In other researches in this area, the weights of each decision makers and in many of them the weights of criteria are pre-determined, but these weights have been calculated in this paper by using the decision matrix of each decision maker. Also, normalized Hamming distance is proposed to calculate the distance between intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Finally, a numerical example for supplier selection is given to clarify the main results developed in this paper.

Abstract Rough set and intuitionistic fuzzy set are very vital role in the decision making method for handling the uncertain and imprecise data of decision makers. The technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is very attractive method for solving the ranking and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. The primary goal of this paper is to introduce the Extended TOPSIS for industrial robot selection under intuitionistic fuzzy rough (IFR) information, where the weights of both, decision makers (DMs) and criteria are not-known. First, we develop Intuitionistic fuzzy rough (IFR) aggregation operators based on Einstein T-norm and T-conom, For this firstly we give the idea of intuitionistic fuzzy rough Einstein weighted averaging (IFREWA), intuitionistic fuzzy rough Einstein hybrid averaging (IFREHA) and intuitionistic fuzzy rough ordered weighted averaging (IFREOWA) aggregation operators. The fundamental properties of the proposed operators are described in detail. Furthermore to determine the unknown weights, a generalized distance measure are defined for IFRSs based on intuitionistic fuzzy rough entropy measure. Following that, the intuitionistic fuzzy rough information-based decision-making technique for multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM) is developed, with all computing steps depicted in simplest form. For considering the conflicting attributes, our proposed model is more accurate and effective. Finally, an example of efficient industrial robot selection is presented to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed intuitionistic fuzzy rough decision support approaches, as well as a discussion of comparative outcomes, demonstrating that the results are feasible and reliable.

For the sake of better handle the imprecise and uncertain information in decision making problems(DMPs), linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers(LIVIFNs) based aggregation operators (AOS) are proposed by combining extended Copulas (ECs), extended Co-copulas (ECCs), power average operator and linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information (LIVIFI). First of all, ECs and ECCs, some specifics of ECs and ECCs, score and accuracy functions of LIVIFNs are gained. Then, based on ECs and ECCs, several aggregation operators are proposed to aggregate LIVIFI, which can offer decision makers (DMs) desirable generality and flexibility. In addition, the desired properties of proposed AOS are discussed. Last but not least, a MAGDM approach is constructed based on proposed AOs; Consequently, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is verified by a numerical example, and then the advantages are showed by comparing with other approaches.

Linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (LIFNs) is a new concept in describing the intuitionistic fuzzy information, which membership and non-membership are expressed by linguistic terms, so it can more easily express the fuzzy information, and some research results on LIFNs have been achieved. However, in the existing researches, some linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators are based on the traditional operational rules, and they have some drawbacks for multi-attribute decision making (MADM) in the practical application. In order to overcome these problems, in this paper, we proposed some improved operational rules based on LIFNs and verified their some properties. Then we developed some aggregation operators to fuse the decision information represented by LIFNs, including the improved linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging (ILIFWA) operator and the improved linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy weighted power average (ILIFWPA) operator. Further, we proved their some desirable properties. Based on the ILIFWA operator and the ILIFWPA operator, we presented some new methods to deal with the multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems under the linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Finally, we used some practical examples to illustrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed methods by comparing with other methods.

Hybrid multiple attribute group decision making involves ranking and selecting competing courses of action available using attributes to evaluate the alternatives. The decision makers assessment information can be expressed in the form of real number, interval-valued number, linguistic variable, and the intuitionistic fuzzy number. All these evaluation information can be transformed to the form of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. A combined GRA with intuitionistic fuzzy group decision-making approach is proposed. Firstly, the hybrid decision matrix is standardized and then transformed into an intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix. Then, intuitionistic fuzzy averaging operator is utilized to aggregate opinions of decision makers. Intuitionistic fuzzy entropy is utilized to obtain the entropy weights of the criteria, respectively. After intuitionistic fuzzy positive ideal solution and intuitionistic fuzzy negative ideal solution are calculated, the grey relative relational degree of alternatives is obtained and alternatives are ranked. In the end, a numerical example illustrates the validity and applicability of the proposed method.

The aim of this research is to develop a new multi-criteria decision-making method that integrates an intuitionistic fuzzy entropy measure and variable weight theory to be implemented in different fields to provide a solution for MCDM problems when the available information is incomplete. A limited number of studies have considered determining decision maker’s weights by performing objective techniques, and almost all of these researches detected a constant weights for the decision makers. In addition, most of the MCDM studies were not formulated to perform sensitivity analysis. The new method is based on the TOPSIS model with an intuitionistic fuzzy entropy measure in the exponential-related function form and the engagement of the variable weight theory to determine weights for the decision-makers that vary as per attibutes. Lastly, a mathematical model was developed in this research to be as an input for developing the mobile-aplication based method in future for virtual use of the new MCDM method.

This chapter uses intuitionistic fuzzy VIKOR (IFVIKOR) for the application of ERP software selection. First, priority values of criteria in ERP software selection problem have been determined by using the judgments of the experts. IFWA operator is utilized to integrate the judgments of the experts about the weights of criteria. Then, the result of the IFVIKOR can be employed to define the most appropriate ERP alternative in uncertain environment. Intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are presented in all phases in order to overcome any vagueness in the decision-making process. The final decision depends on the degree of importance of each decision so that wrong degree of importance causes the mistaken result. The researchers generally determine the degrees of importance of each decision makers according to special characteristics of each decision maker as subjectivity. In order to overcome this subjectivity in this chapter, the judgments of decision makers are degraded to unique decision by using the importance degree of each expert. There is no study about ERP software selection using IFVIKOR.

Some hybrid aggregation operators have been developed based on linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy information. The generalized linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid weighted averaging (GLHIFHWA) operator and the generalized linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid geometric mean (GLHIFHGM) operator are defined. Some special cases of the new aggregation operators are studied and many existing aggregation operators are special cases of the new operators. A new multiple attribute decision making method based on the new aggregation operators is proposed and a practical numerical example is presented to illustrate the feasibility and practical advantages of the new method.
