Consumable materials for welding processes such as filler alloy, electrode, and shielding gas have major implications in welding technology. Selecting the appropriate set of consumable materials for welding aluminum alloys from various available alternates gives rise to a significant decision making problem. This study proposes a strategic justification tool based on integrated analytical hierarchy process, technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (AHP-TOPSIS), to screen and select the best possible combination of filler alloy, electrode, and shielding gas for TIG welding. Based on qualitative analysis of available alternates, ER5356 filler alloys and 0.8% zirconiated electrode are selected as suitable consumable in combination with pure argon as shielding gas. The proposed result is experimentally validated using mechanical property testing.

Welded aluminium alloy products are widely used in the construction and packaging sectors: in this context, in order to be competitive, the welding processes must offer valid solutions from both the productivity and quality viewpoints in addition to health-related aspects with regard to welders and operators. In this context, the technological goals of Air Liquide have been focused on improving the quality of welded joints made using the MIG and TIG processes. The approach adopted here is to examine the various gas mixtures from the viewpoint of influence on electrical parameters (voltage), regularity of filler metal transfer, the surface tension of the melt bath and the convection patterns present in the latter.

Beasiswa Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik (PPA) sebagai salah satu bentuk dukungan pemerintah Republik Indonesia terhadap dunia pendidikan. Beasiswa yang disalurkan oleh pemerintah melalui Perguruan Tinggi yang ada di Indonesia ini, penyeleksian dan penetapan penerimanya sepenuhnya diserahkan kepada pihak Perguruan Tinggi yang bersangkutan. Tahap inilah yang sangat rentan terjadinya kecurangan. Pada objek penelitian  yang diteliti hingga saat ini proses penyeleksian masih dilakukan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel, hal ini tentu saja kurang efektif dan efisien, serta rentan akan terjadinya kesalahan bahkan kecurangan. Untuk itu, diperlukan suatu metodologi dan aplikasi yang tepat dalam melakukan penyeleksian penerima beasiswa tersebut. Decision Support System digunakan sebagai solusi untuk melakukan perekomendasian penerima beasiswa, khususnya dengan menggunakan Metode Technique  for  Order  Preference  by  Similarity  to  Ideal  Solution  (TOPSIS)  dan  Analytical  Hierarcy Process (AHP). Penggunaan kombinasi dua metode tersebut dilakukan agar memiliki tingkat akurasi yang baik jika dibandingkan  dengan menggunakan satu metode. Hasilnya,  aplikasi  decision support system dengan penerapan kombinasi metode Topsis dan AHP berhasil di rancang dan di ujicoba, serta sukses dalam perekomendasian penerima beasiswa PPA dengan menghasilkan data alternatif mahasiswa yang terurut mulai dari nilai preferensi yang paling tinggi 0.764 hingga terendah 0.189. Hasil ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi pengambil keputusan dalam mengambil keputusan yang efektik, efisien dan dapat dipertanggung jawabkan.

A way to minimize uncertainty and achieve the best possible project performance in construction project management can be achieved during the procurement process, which involves selecting an optimal contractor according to “the most economically advantageous tender.” As resources are limited, decision-makers are often pulled apart by conflicting demands coming from various stakeholders. The challenge of addressing them at the same time can be modelled as a multi-criteria decision-making problem. The aim of this paper is to show that the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) together with PROMETHEE could cope with such a problem. As a result of their synergy, a decision support concept for selecting the optimal contractor (DSC-CONT) is proposed that: (a) allows the incorporation of opposing stakeholders’ demands; (b) increases the transparency of decision-making and the consistency of the decision-making process; (c) enhances the legitimacy of the final outcome; and (d) is a scientific approach with great potential for application to similar decision-making problems where sustainable decisions are needed.

Intersections are the most important regions in terms of urban traffic management. The intersection areas on the corridor should be analyzed together for consistency in traffic engineering. To do so, three intersections on the Vatan Street corridor in İstanbul, the most crowded city of Turkey, were examined. Various geometric and signal designs were performed for intersections and the most suitable corridor design was analyzed. The corridor designs were modeled with the PTV VISSIM microsimulation software. The most suitable corridor design was evaluated by using the results obtained from the microsimulation via analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) from multi criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods. The evaluation criteria in the study are vehicle delay, queue length, stopped delay, stops, travel time, vehicle safety, CO emission, fuel consumption, and construction cost. As a result, the current and the most suitable alternative corridors were compared according to the comparison parameters and up to 80% improvements were observed. Thus, some advantages were obtained in terms of energy, environment, time, and cost.

The aim of this paper is to study the feasibility of welding dissimilar aluminum alloys AA6061 and AA7075 using different types of filler metals which are ER4043 and ER5356. The tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding method was used to butt joint these alloys. The effect of ER4043 (Si-rich) and ER5356 (Mg-rich) on weldability of the joint were studied through visual appearance, microstructures and hardness. It was found that, welding using filler ER5356 produced deeper penetration compared to filler ER4043. The depth of penetration obtained using filler ER5356 was 1.74 mm, while only 0.9 mm of penetration was obtained using ER4043. Microstructures at different zones of dissimilar TIG joints such as the fusion zone (FZ), the partially melted zone (PMZ) and the heat affected zone (HAZ) were identified. The grain size at FZ from filler ER5356 samples was finer compared to filler ER4043 which was 11.4 µm and 19.5 µm, respectively. The average hardness welding value of filler ER5356 samples was higher compared to filler ER4043 samples, which were 100HV and 86HV, respectively at HAZ of AA 6061, 110HV and 88HV, respectively at FZ, while 113HV and 85HV, respectively at HAZ of AA 7075. It can be concluded that TIG welding using the ER5356 filler yields better joint compared to ER4043.

Salah satu program LAZISMU Banyumas adalah beasiswa. Beasiswa merupakan pemberian bantuan keuangan yang diberikan kepada perorangan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas SDM atau Sumber Daya Manusia melalui pendidikan. Permasalahan di LAZISMU, sistem bantuan beasiswa masih bersifat manual maka diperlukan suatu sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) untuk memperhitungkan segala kriteria yang mendukung pengambilan keputusan guna membantu, mempercepat dan mempermudah proses pengambilan keputusan. Metode yang digunakan pada sistem pendukung keputusan adalah metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan metode TOPSIS. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) yang digunakan untuk memperbaiki nilai bobot dari kriteria. Nilai bobot yang dihasilkan dari metode AHP selanjutnya digunakan untuk menentukan proses peranking calon penerima bantuan beasiswa menggunakan metode Technique For Order Preference By Similarity To Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Metode AHP dan TOPSIS digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil rekomendasi calon penerima bantuan beasiswa. Hasil klasifikasi kemudian dievaluasi menggunakan Black Box Testing untuk mengetahui apakah fungsi, masukan dan keluaran dari perangkat lunak sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang dibutuhkan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem aplikasi telah berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan, karena tidak ditemukan adanya kesalahan pada interface serta sistem yang dirancang dan dibangun mampu mengatasi kelemahan-kelemahan yang terdapat pada sistem yang lama dan memberikan hasil rekomendasi calon penerima bantuan beasiswa.Kata-kata Kunci: sistem pendukung keputusan, penerima beasiswa, AHP, TOPSIS, black box testing

Abstrak— Bibit merupakan salah satu penentu dalam keberhasilan budidaya tanaman padi. Budidaya tanaman padi dimulai dari memilih bibit tanaman yang berkualitas karena bibit termasuk objek utama yang dikembangkan pada budidaya selanjutnya. Bibit sebagai pembawa gen dari induknya yang akan menentukan sifat dari tanaman setelah berproduksi dan untuk mendapatkan bibit padi yang berkualitas dapat diperoleh dari memilih dan menentukan bibit yang berasal dari induk berkualitas. Kualitas bibit merupakan kunci keberhasilan dalam budidaya padi. Bibit yang berkualitas mampu beradaptasi, memiliki pertumbuhan yang cepat serta seragam, tumbuh lebih cepat, tahan hama dan tinggi nilai produktivitasnya. Untuk mendapatkan bibit padi berkualitas, petani sering mengalami kesulitan. Berdasarkan kesulitan yang dialami petani, maka akan dibangun sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan untuk membantu petani memutuskan bibit yang akan ditanam sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan tanam dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa aspek kriteria. Dalam mengatasi masalah pemilihan bibit padi tersebut dibuat sebuah program sistem pendukung keputusan agar memudahkan informasi dan rekomendasi kepada petani padi tentang bibit yang berkualitas. Dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Penentuan bobot kriteria dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), sedangkan untuk tahap perankingan dikerjakan dengan menggunakan metode TOPSIS. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah padi berkualitas dari lima alternatif yang sudah ditetapkan, yaitu: Sunggal, Inpari32, Ciherang, IR64, Situbagendit. Sistem menghasilkan nilai preferensi tertinggi yaitu 0,858 pada padi Sunggal di urutan pertama dan  0,767 pada padi Inpari32 diurutan kedua. Jadi dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti merekomendasikan bibit padi berkualitas yang cocok ditanam di di desa sambongbangi yaitu Sunggal dan Inpari32..Kata Kunci : Bibit Padi, DSS, TOPSIS, AHP, Kualitas Bibit Padi

Abstract. The evaluation and enhancement of business processes in any organization in an uncertain environment presents one of the main requirements of ISO 9000:2008, and has a key effect on competitive advantage and long-term sustainability. The aim of this paper can be defined as the identification and discussion of some of the most important business processes of seaports, and the performances of business processes and their key performance indicators (KPIs). The complexity and importance of the treated problem calls for analytic methods rather than intuitive decisions. The existing decision variables of the considered problem are described by linguistic expressions which are modelled by triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs). In this paper, the modified fuzzy extended analytic hierarchy process (MFAHP) is proposed. The assessment of the relative importance of each pair of performances and their KPIs are stated as a fuzzy group decision making problem. By using MFAHP, the fuzzy rank of business processes of a seaport is obtained. The model is verified through an illustrative example with real life data, where the obtained data suggest measures which should enhance business strategy and improve KPIs. The future improvement is based on benchmark and knowledge sharing.
