We study a degenerate evolution system containing thep-curl system in a bounded domain with initial and boundary conditions for the magnetic fieldHunder the influence of a system forceF. This is concerned with an approximation of Bean’s critical-state model for type II superconductors. We will show the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of solutions. Moreover we will get the properties of the limit solution asp→∞.

In this paper we study the system governing flows in the magnetic field within the earth. The system is similar to the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations. For initial data in spaceLp, we obtained the local in time existence and uniqueness ofweak solutions of the system subject to appropriate initial and boundary conditions.
