Herein we report on the synthesis and single crystal X-ray structure characterization of [{Cu2(tidf)(μ-NO3)}∞]ClO4(tidf = a Robson type macrocyclic ligand obtained upon condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol and 1,3-diaminopropane). The coordination geometry around the copper(II) is square-pyramidal and has [Cu2(tidf)]2+units connected to each other through nitrate bridges extending as a one-dimension coordination polymer. The compound exhibits an extensive supramolecular structure supported by nonclassic hydrogen bonding between C-H⋯Operchlorateand C-H⋯Onitrate.

A new bi-capped Keggin heteropoly molybdovanadated derivative, [Co (en)3]2[SiMo8V6O42]∙6H2O (1) (en = ethylendiamine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, IR, XPS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure analysis reveals that compound 1 consists of [Co (en)3]2+transition metal coordination fragment and the [SiMo8V6O42]4-building blocks, which are linked together via hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a new 3-D supramolecular networks.

The synthesis and characterization of two new tetronic acid zinc (II) complexes of the empirical formulae [Zn(L–H)2(H2O)2] (1) and [Zn(L–H)2(H2O)(MeOH)]H2O(2) found within the same crystal are reported. The zinc ions bind through alkoxide and carbonyl groups of the ligand 3-methoxycarbonyl-5-phenyl tetronic acid (LH) as indicated byHNMR and X-ray crystallographic studies. These complexes promote intra- and intermolecular interactions, such as hydrogen bonding andπstacking, giving place to the formation of molecular aggregates.

Abstract The reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with N1,N2-di(pyridin- 4-yl)oxalamide (L) and KSCN in the presence of DMF by the layering method gives rise to a new complex [Cu(L2)(SCN)2(DMF)2]n (1). Complex 1 has been characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and elemental and thermogravimetric analyses. It crystallizes in the triclinic system with space group P1̅ and shows a chain structure. Delicate N-H···O hydrogen bonding exists in individual units, and adjacent chains are linked by intermolecular interactions, resulting in an extended 2D network.

A novel polyoxometalated-based compound, {[Pr(H2O)7][CrMo6H6O24]} · 4H2O, was prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy, TG measurement and single crystal X-ray diffraction. A chain-like coordination polymer is formed from a heteropolyanion [CrMo6H6O24]3− as a building unit and [Pr(H2O)7]3+ cations as linker. The chains are linked into an extensive three-dimensional supramolecular network through hydrogen bonding. The synthesis of 1 is accomplished only from pre-synthesized Anderson clusters, but not from simple starting materials.

A glass-ceramic belonging to the CaO-Al2O3-SiO2(CAS) system with different composition of spodumene and doping the Li2O with amount between 0~2.5 % (mass fraction) were prepared by onestage heat treatment, under sintering and crystallization temperature at 1120 °C for two hours. In this paper, differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry and bending strength test were employed to investigate the microstructure and properties of all samples. β-wollastonite crystals were identified as the major crystalline phases, and increasing Li2O was found to be benefit for the crystallization and tiny crystalline phases remelting, resulting in the content of major crystalline phases increased first and then decreased with increasing the expense of spodumene. Meanwhile, the crystal size can be positively related with the content of Li2O. The preferable admixed dosage of spodumene can be obtained, besides the strength of glass-ceramics can be more than 90 MPa.

Abstract A new cadmium(II)-based coordination polymer [Cd3(FcCOO)6(4,4′-bipy)(H2O)2] n (FcCOO = ferrocenecarboxylato and 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine) has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results of a crystal structural analysis has revealed that the title compound consists of two crystallographically unique CdII centers, one in a general position with a five-coordinated and one on an inversion center with a six-coordinated environment. The CdII centers are connected by FcCOO− units to form a metal carboxylate oxygen chain extending parallel to the [100] direction while the 4,4′-bipy ligands further act as bridging linkers of the CdII centers resulting in a layered polymer. In addition, an X-ray powder diffraction and thermal gravimetric analysis and a cyclo-voltammetric characterization of the complex have also been carried out.
