The purpose of this paper is to obtain some sufficient conditions for the global existence of multiple positive periodic solutions of a delayed stage-structured plant-hare model with a toxin-determined functional response. Some novel estimation techniques to construct two open subsets for a priori bounds are employed.

Based on Mawhin's coincidence degree theory, sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of at leasttwopositive periodic solutions for a plant-hare model with toxin-determined functional response (nonmonotone). Some new technique is used in this paper, because standard arguments in the literature are not applicable.

A stochastic prey-predator system in a polluted environment with Beddington-DeAngelis functional response is proposed and analyzed. Firstly, for the system with white noise perturbation, by analyzing the limit system, the existence of boundary periodic solutions and positive periodic solutions is proved and the sufficient conditions for the existence of boundary periodic solutions and positive periodic solutions are derived. And then for the stochastic system, by introducing Markov regime switching, the sufficient conditions for extinction or persistence of such system are obtained. Furthermore, we proved that the system is ergodic and has a stationary distribution when the concentration of toxicant is a positive constant. Finally, two examples with numerical simulations are carried out in order to illustrate the theoretical results.

A discrete time non-autonomous two-species competitive system with delays is proposed, which involves the influence of many generations on the density of species population. Sufficient conditions for permanence of the system are given. When the system is periodic, by using the continuous theorem of coincidence degree theory and constructing a suitable Lyapunov discrete function, sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence and global attractivity of positive periodic solutions are obtained. As an application, examples and their numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the feasibility of our main results.

By using the fixed point theorem on cone, some sufficient conditions are obtained on the existence of positive periodic solutions for a class ofn-species competition systems with impulses. Meanwhile, we point out that the conclusion of (Yan, 2009) is incorrect.

By applying Green's function of third-order differential equation and a fixed point theorem in cones, we obtain some sufficient conditions for existence, nonexistence, multiplicity, and Lyapunov stability of positive periodic solutions for a third-order neutral differential equation.

Abstract This paper is devoted to the existence of a periodic solution for ϕ-Laplacian neutral differential equation as follows $$\begin{array}{} (\phi(x(t)-cx(t-\tau))')'=f(t,x(t),x'(t)). \end{array}$$ By applications of an extension of Mawhin’s continuous theorem due to Ge and Ren, we obtain that given equation has at least one periodic solution. Meanwhile, the approaches to estimate a priori bounds of periodic solutions are different from the corresponding ones of the known literature.

This paper studies a class of periodicnspecies cooperative Lotka-Volterra systems with continuous time delays and feedback controls. Based on the continuation theorem of the coincidence degree theory developed by Gaines and Mawhin, some new sufficient conditions on the existence of positive periodic solutions are established.

Two classes of periodicN-species Lotka-Volterra facultative mutualism systems with distributed delays are discussed. Based on the continuation theorem of the coincidence degree theory developed by Gaines and Mawhin and the Lyapunov function method, some new sufficient conditions on the existence and global attractivity of positive periodic solutions are established.

By applying Mawhin’s continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, we study the existence of multiple positive periodic solutions for a Gilpin-Ayala competition predator-prey system with harvesting terms and obtain some sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive periodic solutions for the system under consideration. The result of this paper is completely new. An example is employed to illustrate our result.
