We first give the definition and some properties ofCn-almost periodic functions on time scales. Then, as an application, we are concerned with a class of Lasota-Wazewska models on time scales. By means of the fixed point theory and differential inequality techniques on time scales, we obtain some sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and global exponential stability ofC1-almost periodic solutions for the considered model. Our results are essentially new whenT=RorT=Z. Finally, we present a numerical example to show the feasibility of obtained results.

By using the Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem and differential inequality techniques, several new sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence and global exponential stability of almost periodic solutions for shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with discrete and distributed delays. The model in this paper possesses two characters: nonlinear behaved functions and all coefficients are time varying. Hence, our model is general and applicable to many known models. Moreover, our main results are also general and can be easily deduced to many simple cases, including some existing results. An example and its simulation are employed to illustrate our feasible results.

We first propose the concept of almost periodic time scales and then give the definition of almost periodic functions on almost periodic time scales, then by using the theory of calculus on time scales and some mathematical methods, some basic results about almost periodic differential equations on almost periodic time scales are established. Based on these results, a class of high-order Hopfield neural networks with variable delays are studied on almost periodic time scales, and some sufficient conditions are established for the existence and global asymptotic stability of the almost periodic solution. Finally, two examples and numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the results.

AbstractIn this paper, a delay Lasota–Wazewska system with feedback control on time scales is proposed. Firstly, by using some differential inequalities on time scales, sufficient conditions which ensure the permanence of the system are obtained. Secondly, by means of the fixed point theory and the exponential dichotomy of linear dynamic equations on time scales, some sufficient conditions for the existence of unique almost periodic solution are obtained. Moreover, exponential stability of the almost periodic positive solution is investigated by applying the Gronwall inequality. Finally, numeric simulations are carried out to show the feasibility of the main results.

In this paper, we investigate the global exponential stability and periodicity of nonautonomous cellular neural networks with reaction-diffusion, impulses, and time-varying delays. By establishing a new differential inequality for nonautonomous systems, using the properties of M-matrix and inequality techniques, some new sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability of the system are obtained. Moreover, sufficient conditions for the periodic solutions of the system are obtained by using the Poincare mapping and the fixed point theory. The validity and superiority of the main results are verified by numerical examples and simulations.

Shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs) are considered with the introduction of continuously distributed delays in the leakage (or forgetting) terms. By using the Lyapunov functional method and differential inequality techniques, some sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stability of almost periodic solutions are established. Our results complement with some recent ones.

1. Introduction. K. Deleeuw and I. Glicksberg [4] proved that if S and T are commutative topological semigroups with identity, then the Bochner almost periodic compactification of S × T is the direct product of the Bochner almost periodic compactifications of S and T. In Section 3 we consider the semidirect product of two semi topological semigroups with identity and two unital C*-subalgebras and of W(S) and W(T) respectively, where W(S) is the weakly almost periodic functions on S. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions and for a semidirect product compactification of to exist such that this compactification is a semi topological semigroup and such that this compactification is a topological semigroup. Moreover, we obtain the largest such compactifications.

In this paper, neutral-type competitive neural networks with mixed time-varying delays and leakage delays on time scales are proposed. Based on the contraction fixed-point theorem, some sufficient conditions that are independent of the backwards graininess function of the time scale are obtained for the existence and global exponential stability of almost periodic solutions of neural networks under consideration. The results obtained are brand new, indicating that the continuous time and discrete-time conditions of the network share the same dynamic behavior. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the validity of the results obtained.

On a new type of almost periodic time scales, a class of BAM neural networks is considered. By employing a fixed point theorem and differential inequality techniques, some sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and global exponential stability ofC1-almost periodic solutions for this class of networks with time-varying delays are established. Two examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method and results.

We firstly introduce the concept and the properties ofCmalmost periodic functions on time scales, which generalizes the concept of almost periodic functions on time scales and the concept ofC(n)-almost periodic functions. Secondly, we consider the existence and uniqueness of almost periodic solutions for second order dynamic equations on time scales by Schauder’s fixed point theorem and contracting mapping principle. At last, we obtain alternative theorems for second order dynamic equations on time scales.
