The case presented details an uncommon case of subglottic tracheal stenosis exacerbated by pregnancy. We outine the multidisciplinary management involved and the outcomes for the pregnancy. The case serves as a reminder that shortness of breath in pregnancy has a broad differential diagnosis, and stridor is always abnormal.

Introduction: Intrathoracic goiters are associated with compression of nearby structures, triggering severe compressive symptoms. Total thyroidectomy is the gold standard to treat these cases. Case Presentation: A patient with a huge intrathoracic goiter suffering from compressive symptoms underwent a thorough clinical, functional and imaging assessment and underwent total thyroidectomy in an Endocrino-Metabolic surgical referral center; after the surgery she suffered from transient hypocalcaemia but was discharged without major complications and continued periodical endocrinological follow-up. Conclusion: Management of intra-thoracic goiter requires a multidisciplinary approach of a skilled team both pre, during and after surgery to maximize the safety and efficacy of the procedure and reduce or promptly manage surgical or medical complications.

This case report explores the challenging multidisciplinary management of a gentleman over the course of 28 years. It begins with resection of a maxillary ameloblastoma, describes an 18-year period of elusive discomfort, culminating in an exophytic lesion associated with a retained Gore-Tex membrane. Retained foreign bodies can cause a multitude of complications including chronic infection, discomfort and reactive tissue growth. Imaging for foreign bodies may have a low diagnostic yield and surgical exploration should be considered when conventional methods fail to provide a diagnosis. The case concludes with successful prosthodontic rehabilitation, lessons with barrier membranes and foreign body management.
