We propose a subspace embedding method via Fast Cauchy Transform (FCT) inL2norm. It is motivated by and complements the work of the subspace embedding method inLpnorm, for allp∈[1,∞]exceptp=2, by K. L. Clarkson (ACM-SIAM, 2013). Unlike the traditionally used orthogonal basis in Johnson-Lindenstrauss (JL) embedding, we employ the well-conditioned basis inL2norm to obtain concentration property of FCT inL2norm.

Lipid cytochemistry has not yet advanced far at the EM level. A major problem has been the loss of lipid during dehydration and embedding. Although the adoption of glutaraldehyde and osmium tetroxide accelerate the chemical reaction of lipid and osmium tetroxide can react on the double bouds of unsaturated lipid to from the osmium black, osmium tetroxide can be reduced in saturated lipid and subsequently some of unsaturated lipid are lost during dehydration. In order to reduce the loss of lipid by traditional method, some researchers adopted a few new methods, such as the change of embedding procedure and the adoption of new embedding media, to solve the problem. In a sense, these new methods are effective. They, however, usually require a long period of preparation. In this paper, we do research on the fiora nectary strucure of lauraceae by the rapid-embedding method wwith PEG under electron microscope and attempt to find a better method to solve the problem mentioned above.

Objectives: To investigate clinical characteristics of patients with sciatica in Traditional Medicine Hospital in Thua Thien Hue province; To evaluate the effectiveness of the catgut-embedding method combining with herbal medicine on the treatment of sciatica by wind-cold-damp arthralgia. Subjects and Methods: Patients diagnosed with sciatica by wind-cold-damp arthralgia in-patient treatment in Traditional Medicine Hospital in Thua Thien Hue province. Methods: Clinical and controlled trials, a survey of 72 patients, which were divided into 2 groups: The study group: 36 patients: receiving treatment by catgut-embedding and herbal medicine; The control group: 36 patients: only use herbal medicine. 28-day treatment period. Patients were assessed at admission (T0), after 14 days (T14), after 28 days of treatment (T28). Results: After 28 days of treatment: no severity both 2 groups. The study group fell to 8.3% moderate pain, mostly mild pain (91.7%); the control group was 44.4% moderate pain, mild 55.6%.The catgut-embedding method does not cause any side effects. Key words: catgut-embedding method, sciatica by wind-cold-damp arthralgia

AbstractProbability measures satisfying a Poincaré inequality are known to enjoy a dimension-free concentration inequality with exponential rate. A celebrated result of Bobkov and Ledoux shows that a Poincaré inequality automatically implies a modified logarithmic Sobolev inequality. As a consequence the Poincaré inequality ensures a stronger dimension-free concentration property, known as two-level concentration. We show that a similar phenomenon occurs for the Latała–Oleszkiewicz inequalities, which were devised to uncover dimension-free concentration with rate between exponential and Gaussian. Motivated by the search for counterexamples to related questions, we also develop analytic techniques to study functional inequalities for probability measures on the line with wild potentials.

Abstract We discuss new ideas for consideration of loop diagrams and angular integrals in D-dimensions in QCD. In case of loop diagrams, we propose the covariant formalism of expansion of tensorial loop integrals into the orthogonal basis of linear combinations of external momenta. It gives a very simple representation for the final results and is more convenient for calculations on computer algebra systems. In case of angular integrals we demonstrate how to simplify the integration of differential cross sections over polar angles. Also we derive the recursion relations, which allow to reduce all occurring angular integrals to a short set of basic scalar integrals. All order ε-expansion is given for all angular integrals with up to two denominators based on the expansion of the basic integrals and using recursion relations. A geometric picture for partial fractioning is developed which provides a new rotational invariant algorithm to reduce the number of denominators.
