We propose and investigate a new general model of fuzzy complex network systems described by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model with time-varying delays. Hybrid synchronization problem is discussed for this general T-S fuzzy complex dynamical network with nondelayed and delayed coupling between nodes. Utilizing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method, synchronization stability criteria for the networks are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). These criteria reveal the relationship between coupling matrices with time-varying delays and synchronization stability of the dynamical network. Numerical simulation is provided to illustrate the effectiveness and advantage of derived theoretical results.

In this paper, we propose a newH∞ synchronization method for fuzzy model based chaotic systems with external disturbance and time-varying delay. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory, Takagi- Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model, and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, the H∞ synchronization controller is presented to not only guarantee stable synchronization but also reduce the effect of external disturbance to an H∞ norm constraint. The proposed controller can be obtained by solving a convex optimization problem represented by the LMI. A simulation study is presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.

The synchronization problem of stochastic complex networks with Markovian switching and time-varying delays is investigated by using impulsive pinning control scheme. The complex network possesses noise perturbations, Markovian switching, and internal and outer time-varying delays. Sufficient conditions for synchronization are obtained by employing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method, Itö's formula, and the linear matrix inequality (LMI). Numerical examples are also given to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results.

In this article, a Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model is applied to deal with the problem of observer-based control design for nonlinear time-delayed systems with fractional-order [Formula: see text]. By applying the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method, a fuzzy observer–based controller is established to stabilize the time-delayed fractional-order Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model. Also, the problem of disturbance rejection for the addressed systems is studied via the state-feedback method in the form of a parallel distributed compensation approach. Furthermore, sufficient conditions for the existence of state-feedback gains and observer gains are achieved in the terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two numerical examples are simulated for the validation of the presented methods.

The problem of delay-dependent robust fault estimation for a class of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy singular systems is investigated. By decomposing the delay interval into two unequal subintervals and with a new and tighter integral inequality transformation, an improved delay-dependent stability criterion is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to guarantee that the fuzzy singular system with time-varying delay is regular, impulse-free, and stable firstly. Then, based on this criterion, by considering the system fault as an auxiliary disturbance vector and constructing an appropriate fuzzy augmented system, a fault estimation observer is designed to ensure that the error dynamic system is regular, impulse-free, and robustly stable with a prescribedH∞performance satisfied for all actuator and sensor faults simultaneously, and the obtained fault estimates can practically better depict the size and shape of the faults. Finally, numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

The passivity and passification for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with leakage delay and both discrete and distributed time-varying delays are investigated. By employing the Lyapunov functional method and using the matrix inequality techniques, several delay-dependent criteria to ensure the passivity and passification of the considered T-S fuzzy systems are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that can be easily checked by using the standard numerical software. The obtained results generalize some previous results. Two examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed criteria.

In this paper, we consider the problem of robust delay-dependent stability for a class of linear uncertain systems with interval time-varying delay. By using the directly Lyapunov-Krasovskii (L-K) functional method, integral inequality approach and the free weighting matrix technique, new less conservative stability criteria for the system is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities .Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

This paper investigates global synchronization in an array of coupled neural networks with time-varying delays and unbounded distributed delays. In the coupled neural networks, limited transmission efficiency between coupled nodes, which makes the model more practical, is considered. Based on a novel integral inequality and the Lyapunov functional method, sufficient synchronization criteria are derived. The derived synchronization criteria are formulated by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and can be easily verified by using Matlab LMI Toolbox. It is displayed that, when some of the transmission efficiencies are limited, the dynamics of the synchronized state are different from those of the isolated node. Furthermore, the transmission efficiency and inner coupling matrices between nodes play important roles in the final synchronized state. The derivative of the time-varying delay can be any given value, and the time-varying delay can be unbounded. The outer-coupling matrices can be symmetric or asymmetric. Numerical simulations are finally given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

A class of dynamical neural network models with time-varying delays is considered. By employing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) technique, some new sufficient conditions ensuring the input-to-state stability (ISS) property of the nonlinear network systems are obtained. Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the efficiency of the derived results.

The problem of delay-range-dependent stability for T-S fuzzy system with interval time-varying delay is investigated. The constraint on the derivative of the time-varying delay is not required, which allows the time delay to be a fast time-varying function. By developing delay decomposition approach, integral inequalities approach (IIA), and Leibniz-Newton formula, the information of the delayed plant states can be taken into full consideration, and new delay-dependent sufficient stability criteria are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various optimization algorithms. Simulation examples show resulting criteria outperform all existing ones in the literature. It is worth pointing out that our criteria are carried out more efficiently for computation and less conservatism of the proposed criteria.

This paper deals with the master-slave synchronization problem of Lur'e systems based on time-varying delay feedback control. The time-varying delay is only assumed to be bounded. Delay-dependent conditions are derived such that the controlled slave system can track the master system. The synchronization criteria are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequality, which can be checked readily by using some standard numerical packages. A simulation example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
