We consider the packings and coverings of complete graphs with isomorphic copies of the 4-cycle with a pendant edge. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for such structures for (1) complete graphs , (2) complete bipartite graphs , and (3) complete graphs with a hole . In the last two cases, we address both restricted and unrestricted coverings.

In this paper we elaborate an algorithm to compute the necessary and sufficient conditions for the continuous monotonic star decomposition of the bipartite graph Km,r and the number of vertices and the number of disjoint sets. Also an algorithm to find the tensor product of Pn  Ps has continuous monotonic path decomposition. Finally we conclude that in this paper the results described above are complete bipartite graphs that accept Continuous monotonic star decomposition. There are many other classes of complete tripartite graphs that accept Continuous monotonic star decomposition. In this research article Extended to complete m-partite graphs for grater values of m. This paper introduces a new graph construction, the permutational power of a graph, whose adjacency matrix is obtained by the composition of a permutation matrix with the adjacency matrix of the graph. It is shown that this construction recovers the classical zig-zag product of graphs when the permutation is an involution, and it is in fact more general. We start by discussing necessary and sufficient conditions on the permutation and on the adjacency matrix of a graph to guarantee their composition to represent an adjacency matrix of a graph, then we focus our attention on the cases in which the permutational power does not reduce to a zig-zag product. We show that the cases of interest are those in which the adjacency matrix is singular. This leads us to frame our problem in the context of equitable partitions, obtained by identifying vertices having the same neighborhood. The families of cyclic and complete bipartite graphs are treated in details.

AbstractA Γ-distance magic labeling of a graph G = (V, E) with |V| = n is a bijection ℓ from V to an Abelian group Γ of order n such that the weight $$w(x) = \sum\nolimits_{y \in N_G (x)} {\ell (y)}$$ of every vertex x ∈ V is equal to the same element µ ∈ Γ, called the magic constant. A graph G is called a group distance magic graph if there exists a Γ-distance magic labeling for every Abelian group Γ of order |V(G)|.In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions for complete k-partite graphs of odd order p to be ℤp-distance magic. Moreover we show that if p ≡ 2 (mod 4) and k is even, then there does not exist a group Γ of order p such that there exists a Γ-distance labeling for a k-partite complete graph of order p. We also prove that K m,n is a group distance magic graph if and only if n + m ≢ 2 (mod 4).

<p>Burger and Vuuren defined the size multipartite Ramsey number for a pair of complete, balanced, multipartite graphs <em>mj</em>(<em>Ka</em>x<em>b</em>,<em>Kc</em>x<em>d</em>), for natural numbers <em>a,b,c,d</em> and <em>j</em>, where <em>a,c</em> &gt;= 2, in 2004. They have also determined the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of size multipartite Ramsey numbers <em>mj</em>(<em>Ka</em>x<em>b</em>,<em>Kc</em>x<em>d</em>). Syafrizal <em>et al</em>. generalized this definition by removing the completeness requirement. For simple graphs <em>G</em> and <em>H</em>, they defined the size multipartite Ramsey number <em>mj</em>(<em>G,H</em>) as the smallest natural number <em>t</em> such that any red-blue coloring on the edges of <em>Kj</em>x<em>t</em> contains a red <em>G</em> or a blue <em>H</em> as a subgraph. In this paper, we determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of multipartite Ramsey numbers <em>mj</em>(<em>G,H</em>), where both <em>G</em> and <em>H</em> are non complete graphs. Furthermore, we determine the exact values of the size multipartite Ramsey numbers <em>mj</em>(<em>K</em>1,<em>m</em>, <em>K</em>1,<em>n</em>) for all integers <em>m,n &gt;= </em>1 and <em>j </em>= 2,3, where <em>K</em>1,<em>m</em> is a star of order <em>m</em>+1. In addition, we also determine the lower bound of <em>m</em>3(<em>kK</em>1,<em>m</em>, <em>C</em>3), where <em>kK</em>1,<em>m</em> is a disjoint union of <em>k</em> copies of a star <em>K</em>1,<em>m</em> and <em>C</em>3 is a cycle of order 3.</p>

The Laplace transform of the extinction time is determined for a general birth and death process with arbitrary catastrophe rate and catastrophe size distribution. It is assumed only that the birth rates satisfyλ0= 0,λj&gt; 0 for eachj&gt; 0, and. Necessary and sufficient conditions for certain extinction of the population are derived. The results are applied to the linear birth and death process (λj=jλ, µj=jμ) with catastrophes of several different types.

The study of the differential-algebraic boundary value problems, traditional for the Kiev school of nonlinear oscillations, founded by academicians M.M. Krylov, M.M. Bogolyubov, Yu.A. Mitropolsky and A.M. Samoilenko. It was founded in the 19th century in the works of G. Kirchhoff and K. Weierstrass and developed in the 20th century by M.M. Luzin, F.R. Gantmacher, A.M. Tikhonov, A. Rutkas, Yu.D. Shlapac, S.L. Campbell, L.R. Petzold, Yu.E. Boyarintsev, V.F. Chistyakov, A.M. Samoilenko, O.A. Boichuk, V.P. Yacovets, C.W. Gear and others. In the works of S.L. Campbell, L.R. Petzold, Yu.E. Boyarintsev, V.F. Chistyakov, A.M. Samoilenko and V.P. Yakovets were obtained sufficient conditions for the reducibility of the linear differential-algebraic system to the central canonical form and the structure of the general solution of the degenerate linear system was obtained. Assuming that the conditions for the reducibility of the linear differential-algebraic system to the central canonical form were satisfied, O.A.~Boichuk obtained the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear Noetherian differential-algebraic boundary value problem and constructed a generalized Green operator of this problem. Based on this, later O.A. Boichuk and O.O. Pokutnyi obtained the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the weakly nonlinear differential algebraic boundary value problem, the linear part of which is a Noetherian differential algebraic boundary value problem. Thus, out of the scope of the research, the cases of dependence of the desired solution on an arbitrary continuous function were left, which are typical for the linear differential-algebraic system. Our article is devoted to the study of just such a case. The article uses the original necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear Noetherian differential-algebraic boundary value problem and the construction of the generalized Green operator of this problem, constructed by S.M. Chuiko. Based on this, necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the weakly nonlinear differential-algebraic boundary value problem were obtained. A typical feature of the obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear and weakly nonlinear differential-algebraic boundary-value problem is its dependence on the means of fixing of the arbitrary continuous function. An improved classification and a convergent iterative scheme for finding approximations to the solutions of weakly nonlinear differential algebraic boundary value problems was constructed in the article.
