A discrete two species predator-prey captured system is studied. Firstly, a sufficient condition of a positive equilibrium point for this system is obtained. Secondly, we observe that the two nonnegative equilibriums of the system are unstable through the eigenvalue discriminant method, and the positive equilibrium point is asymptotically stable by Jury criterion. Lastly, we obtain the optimal capture strategy of the system from the maximum principle by constructing a discrete Hamiltonian function. To show the feasibility of the main results, a suitable example together with its numerical simulations is illustrated in the last part of the paper. The example with certain practical significance might give an optimal scheme of the greatest economic benefits for the captors.

A class of predator-prey system with distributed delays and competition term is considered. By considering the time delay as bifurcation parameter, we analyze the stability and the Hopf bifurcation of the predator-prey system. According to the theorem of Hopf bifurcation, some sufficient conditions are obtained for the local stability of the positive equilibrium point.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to discuss dynamic behaviors of conformable fractional-order Lotka–Volterra predator–prey system. First of all, the piecewise constant approximation is used to obtain the discretize version of the model then, we investigate stability, existence, and direction of Neimark–Sacker bifurcation of the positive equilibrium point of the discrete system. It is observed that the discrete system shows much richer dynamic behaviors than its fractional-order form such as Neimark–Sacker bifurcation and chaos. Finally, numerical simulations are used to demonstrate the accuracy of analytical results.

The present research article constitutes Holling type II and IV diseased prey predator ecosystem and classified into two categories namely susceptible and infected predators.We show that the system has a unique positive solution. The deterministic and stochastic nature of the dynamics of the system is investigated. We check the existence of all possible steady states with local stability. By using Routh-Hurwitz criterion we showed that the positive equilibrium point $E_{7}$ is locally asymptotically stable if $x^{*} > \sqrt{m_{1}}$ .Moreover condition of the global stability of positive equilibrium point $E_{7}$ are also entrenched with help of Lyupunov theorem. Some Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate our analytical findings.

The Hopf bifurcation for a predator-prey system with -logistic growth and prey refuge is studied. It is shown that the ODEs undergo a Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium when the prey refuge rate or the index- passed through some critical values. Time delay could be considered as a bifurcation parameter for DDEs, and using the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction, explicit formulae are derived to determine the direction of bifurcations and the stability and other properties of bifurcating periodic solutions. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.

Moreover, optimal harvesting policy is obtained by using the maximal principle,and numerical simulation is applied to illustrate the correctness.

In this paper, we investigate the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a delayed density-dependent predator–prey system with Beddington–DeAngelis functional response, where not only the prey density dependence but also the predator density dependence are considered such that the studied predator–prey system conforms to the realistically biological environment. We start with the geometric criterion introduced by Beretta and Kuang [2002] and then investigate the stability of the positive equilibrium and the stability switches of the system with respect to the delay parameter [Formula: see text]. Especially, we generalize the geometric criterion in [Beretta & Kuang, 2002] by introducing the condition [Formula: see text] which can be assured by the condition [Formula: see text], and adopting the technique of lifting to define the function [Formula: see text] for alternatively determining stability switches at the zeroes of [Formula: see text]s. Afterwards, by the Poincaré normal form for Hopf bifurcation in [Kuznetsov, 1998] and the bifurcation formulae in [Hassard et al., 1981], we qualitatively analyze the properties for the occurring Hopf bifurcations of the system (3). Finally, an example with numerical simulations is given to illustrate the obtained results.

The dynamical behaviors of a two-species discrete ratio-dependent predator–prey system are considered. Some sufficient conditions for the local stability of the equilibria is obtained by using the linearization method. Further, we also obtain a new sufficient condition to ensure that the positive equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable by using an iteration scheme and the comparison principle of difference equations, which generalizes what paper [G. Chen, Z. Teng and Z. Hu, Analysis of stability for a discrete ratio-dependent predator–prey system, Indian J. Pure Appl. Math.42(1) (2011) 1–26] has done. The method given in this paper is new and very resultful comparing with papers [H. F. Huo and W. T. Li, Existence and global stability of periodic solutions of a discrete predator–prey system with delays, Appl. Math. Comput.153 (2004) 337–351; X. Liao, S. Zhou and Y. Chen, On permanence and global stability in a general Gilpin–Ayala competition predator–prey discrete system, Appl. Math. Comput.190 (2007) 500–509] and it can also be applied to study the global asymptotic stability for general multiple species discrete population systems. At the end of this paper, we present an open question.

A singular delayed biological economic predator-prey system with and without stochastic fluctuation is proposed. The conditions of singularity induced bifurcation are gained, and a state feedback controller is designed to eliminate such bifurcation. Furthermore, saddle-node bifurcation is also showed. Next, the local stability of the positive equilibrium and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are obtained by analyzing the distribution of roots of the corresponding characteristic equation, and the hybrid control strategy is used to control the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation. In addition, some explicit formulas determining the spectral densities of the populations and harvest effort are given when the system is considered with stochastic fluctuation. Finally, numerical simulations are illustrated to verify the theoretical results.

In this paper, a stochastic Lotka–Volterra predator-prey model with discrete delays and feedback control is studied. Firstly, the existence and uniqueness of global positive solution are proved. Further, we investigate the asymptotic property of stochastic system at the positive equilibrium point of the corresponding deterministic model and establish sufficient conditions for the persistence and extinction of the model. Finally, the correctness of the theoretical derivation is verified by numerical simulations.
