Recently, Abbas et al. (2012) obtained some unique common fixed-point results for a pair of mappings satisfying (E.A) property under certain generalized strict contractive conditions in the framework of a generalized metric space. In this paper, we present common coincidence and common fixed points of two pairs of mappings when only one pair satisfies (E.A) property in the setup of generalized metric spaces. We present some examples to support our results. We also study well-posedness of common fixed-point problem.

Using the concept of common (E.A) property, we prove a common fixed point theorem for three pairs of weakly compatible self-maps satisfying a new contractive condition in the framework of a generalized metric space. Our results do not rely on any commuting or continuity condition of mappings. An example is provided to support our result. The results obtained in this paper differ from the recent relative results in the literature.

Fixed point problem of many mappings has been widely studied in the research work of fixed point theory. The generalized metric space is one of the research objects of fixed point theory. B-metric-like space is one of the generalized metric spaces; in fact, the research work in B-metric-like spaces is attractive. The intention of this paper is to introduce the concept of other cyclic mappings, named as L β -type cyclic mappings in the setting of B-metric-like space, study the existence and uniqueness of fixed point problem of L β -type cyclic mapping, and obtain some new results in B-metric-like spaces. Furthermore, the main results in this paper are illustrated by a concrete example. The work of this paper extend and promote the previous results in B-metric-like spaces.

The aim of this paper is to give some fixed point results in generalized metric spaces in Perov’s sense. The generalized metric considered here is the w-distance with a symmetry condition. The operators satisfy a contractive weakly condition of Hardy–Rogers type. The second part of the paper is devoted to the study of the data dependence, the well-posedness, and the Ulam–Hyers stability of the fixed point problem. An example is also given to sustain the presented results.

The result of our study is that a coincidence point of two mappings P and Q can be achieved when the ordered pair (P,Q) is an (α,β,γ)-contraction with respect to a generalized metric space. Moreover, with some additional condition, a common fixed point can be obtained as a consequence of our main theorems. Further, we apply our findings to some examples and integral equation problems.

In this paper, we generalize Nadler’s result by establishing the existence and uniqueness of coincidence and common fixed points of Nadler’s type set-valued mappings in ultrametric spaces. Examples are given to illustrate the results. As an application, well-posedness of a common fixed point problem is proved. The presented results generalize many known results in literature in the framework of ultrametric spaces.

The purpose of this paper is to establish the existence and uniqueness of common fixed points of a family of self-mappings satisfying generalized rational contractive condition in 2-Banach spaces. An example is included to justify our results. We approximate the common fixed point by Mann and Picard type iteration schemes. Further, an application to well-posedness of the common fixed point problem is given. The presented results generalize many known results on 2-Banach spaces.

The aim of this article is to study common fixed point theorems in generalized metric spaces and obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of C-class function on Khan type common fixed points of a pair of mappings satisfying generalized contraction involving rational expressions. Also, some examples are obtained to support the obtained result. Also obtained results further generalize, extend and unify already existing results in literature.

Abstract In this paper, we are concerned with the split equality common fixed point problem. It is a significant generalization of the split feasibility problem, which can be used in various disciplines, such as medicine, military and biology, etc. We propose an alternating iteration algorithm for solving the split equality common fixed point problem with L-Lipschitz and quasi-pseudo-contractive mappings and prove that the sequence generated by the algorithm converges weakly to the solution of this problem. Finally, some numerical results are shown to confirm the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

The aim of this paper is to formulate and analyze a cyclic iterative algorithm in real Hilbert spaces which converges strongly to a common solution of fixed point problem and multiple-sets split common fixed point problem involving demicontractive operators without prior knowledge of operator norm. Significance and range of applicability of our algorithm has been shown by solving the problem of multiple-sets split common null point, multiple-sets split feasibility, multiple-sets split variational inequality, multiple-sets split equilibrium and multiple-sets split monotone variational inclusion.
