LetR(𝔻)be the algebra generated in Sobolev spaceW22(𝔻)by the rational functions with poles outside the unit disk𝔻¯. In this paper, we study the similarity invariant of the multiplication operatorsMginℒ(R(𝔻)), whengis univalent analytic on𝔻orMgis strongly irreducible. And the commutants of multiplication operators whose symbols are composite functions, univalent analytic functions, or entire functions are studied.

The article is devoted to results relating to the theory of rational approximation of an analytic function. Let ƒ be an analytic function on the disk {z : |z| < ñ), ñ > 1. The rate of decrease of the best approximations ñn of a function ƒ by the rational functions of order at most n in the uniform metric on the unit disk E with the center z = 0 is investigated. The theorem connecting the rate of decrease of ñn with the order ó > 0 of ƒ in the disk {z : |z| < ñ} is proved. The proof of this results is based on an analysis of behavior of the singular numbers of the Hankel operator constructed from the function ƒ.

In the paper we establish some conditions under which a given sequence of polynomials on a Banach space X supports entire functions of unbounded type, and construct some counter examples. We show that if X is an infinite dimensional Banach space, then the set of entire functions of unbounded type can be represented as a union of infinite dimensional linear subspaces (without the origin). Moreover, we show that for some cases, the set of entire functions of unbounded type generated by a given sequence of polynomials contains an infinite dimensional algebra (without the origin). Some applications for symmetric analytic functions on Banach spaces are obtained.

AbstractSymmetric operators have benefited in different fields not only in mathematics but also in other sciences. They appeared in the studies of boundary value problems and spectral theory. In this note, we present a new symmetric differential operator associated with a special class of meromorphically multivalent functions in the punctured unit disk. This study explores some of its geometric properties. We consider a new class of analytic functions employing the suggested symmetric differential operator.

For a nondecreasing functionK:[0,8)?[0,8)and0<p<8,-2<q<8, we introduceQK(p,q), aQKtype space of functions analytic in the unit disk and study the characterizations ofQK(p,q). Necessary and sufficient conditions onKsuch thatQK(p,q)become some known spaces are given.
