We consider a periodic time-dependent predator-prey system with stage structure and impulsive harvesting, in which the prey has a life history that takes them through two stages, immature and mature. A set of sufficient and necessary conditions which guarantee the permanence of the system are obtained. Finally, we give a brief discussion of our results.

We propose and study the permanence of the following periodic Holling III predator-prey system with stage structure for prey and both two predators which consume immature prey. Sufficient and necessary conditions which guarantee the predator and the prey species to be permanent are obtained.

A stage-structured three-species predator-prey model with Beddington-DeAngelis and Holling II functional response is introduced. Based on the comparison theorem, sufficient and necessary conditions which guarantee the predator and the prey species to be permanent are obtained. An example is also presented to illustrate our main results.

Based on the biological resource management of natural resources, a stage-structured predator-prey model with Holling type III functional response, birth pulse, and impulsive harvesting at different moments is proposed in this paper. By applying comparison theorem and some analysis techniques, the global attractivity of predator-extinction periodic solution and the permanence of this system are studied. At last, examples and numerical simulations are given to verify the validity of the main results.

In this paper, we consider a predator-prey system with stage structure. The populations have two stages, an immature stage and a mature stage, the age to maturity is represented by a time delay, which leads to systems of retarded functional differential equations. We obtain the conditions for global asymptotic stability of two nonnegative equilibria of this system. The numerical simulation suggests that time delay has both oscillatory dynamics and stabilizing effects.

This paper deals with a periodic coefficients predator-prey system with impulsive harvesting for the predator, in which the prey has a history that takes them through two stages, juvenile and adult. We apply this system to model strategies for controlling apple snails which are serious pests of young rice seedlings in paddy fields. A sufficient and necessary condition to guarantee permanence of the system is provided. Finally, we give a brief discussion of our result.

A time-dependent quasi-one-dimensional model is developed for studying high- pressure discharges in ablative capillaries used, for example, as plasma sources in electrothermal launchers. The main features of the model are (i) consideration of ablation effects in each of the continuity, momentum and energy equations; (ii) use of a non-ideal equation of state; and (iii) consideration of space- and time-dependent ionization.
