Circuits of VLSI complexity are designed using modules such as adders, multipliers, register files, memories, multiplexers, and busses. During the high-level design of such a circuit, it is important to be able to consider several alternative designs and compare them on counts of area, performance, and testability. While tools exist for area and delay estimation of module-level circuits, most of the testability analysis tools work on gate-level descriptions of the circuit. Thus an expensive operation of flattening the circuit becomes necessary to carry out testability analysis. In this paper, we describe a time and space-efficient technique for evaluating the well known SCOAP testability measure of a circuit from its hierarchical description with two or more levels of hierarchy. We introduce the notion of SCOAP Expression Diagrams for functional modules, which can be precomputed and stored as part of the module data base. Our hierarchical testability analysis program, HISCOAP, reads the SCOAP expression diagrams for the modules used in the circuit, and evaluates the SCOAP measure in a systematic manner. The program has been implemented on a Sun/SPARC workstation, and we present results on several benchmark circuits, both combinational and sequential. We show that our algorithm also has a straightforward parallel realization.

This paper investigates the effects of global economic sanctions (GESs) on global bank linkages (GBLs) by using 4,032 pairs of 66 countries during the 2001–2013 period. We use the structural gravity model combining with the rich database of the Global Sanction Data Base introduced by Felbermayr et al. [(2020). The global sanctions data base. European Economic Review, 129, 1–23]. Our empirical results show a negative association between the GESs and GBLs. The differential effects of GESs on the GBLs are conditional on the sanction types. Furthermore, the consequences of global sanctions become more severe for countries featuring higher information asymmetries, captured either by a high level of world uncertainty, an occurrence of crisis and shocks or by a weak institutional system. Our results are robust and reliable when we use an alternative measure of bank connections, and in the context of controlling the potential endogeneity of global sanction.

The pressor responses to spontaneous bursts of muscle sympathetic nerve activity provide important information regarding sympathetic regulation of the circulation. Many laboratories worldwide quantify sympathetic neurohemodynamic transduction using in-house, customized software requiring high-level programming skills and/or costly computer programs. To overcome these barriers, this study presents a simple, open-source, Microsoft Excel-based analysis program along with video instructions to assist researchers without the necessary resources to quantify sympathetic neurohemodynamic transduction.

On the performance of staff in the Saudi Red Crescent. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method, using the questionnaire performance to measure the opinions of the respondents using the statistical analysis program (SPSS) to analyze the data collected. The results of the study confirm the existence of an effect in applying the comprehensive quality standards on the job performance in the Saudi Red Crescent Authority at a high level on all criteria, and the study also found that the level of application of the comprehensive quality standards with all its criteria (continuous improvement, zero errors, focus on the beneficiaries) where It represents between 3.39 and 3.57 out of 5, and the level of job performance in the Saudi Red Crescent Authority is relatively high, as it represents 3.33 out of 5. The study recommends the need to pay attention to the application of TQM standards and to focus on the most important standards and impact on job performance.

AbstractWarehouse is a storage for all the goods of production and sales. Its function as a storage has a very vital role. Therefore it is necessary to have the proper regulations in the use of warehouse space. CV.MDP-Semarang is the carton packaging industry located in Semarang. The high level of the activity in the warehouse make time and space efficiency becomes important. From the observation, CV. MDP-Semarang do not yet have good storage layout. It is shown from raw material inventory in storage that are not following the principle of good storage layout. In the raw materials storage carton are placed randomly, so it makes the operator difficult to find the goods and the storage become out of capacity to fulfill demand. The good parameters for good storage are the optimal utility and the capapbility to fulfill raw material demands faster. In this paper, class-based storage method and shelf are used to separate carton based on type of carton in raw material storage in order to improve storage capacity. By proposes the design raw material storage layout, the company should be able to increase storage capacity, thus, it will be able to give space for 640.000 pieces of carton.

Surface pressure observations from the First GARP Global Experiment (FGGE) drifting buoys, transmitted over the Global Telecommunication System, have been used in the Melbourne National Meteorological Analysis Centre (NMAC) operational analysis program since December 1978. From the beginning of the first Special Observing Period the network of buoys was sufficient to provide a data base over many areas from which routine surface observations have never previously been available. The great value of the new data in the specification of critical high latitude ridge axes, the true intensity of the Southern Ocean depressions and the westerly flow south of the Australian land mass is illustrated. It is shown that the 1979 analyses differ significantly from those of previous years, with regard to such features as the circumpolar trough, the middle latitude cyclonic systems and the sub-tropical highs. An appraisal of the differences indicates they are not only due to the characteristics of the 1979 circulation but also to a first delineation of the hemispheric circulation features by use of the FGGE data base.
