This paper describes the design and development of a design repository software system. This system is a prototype implementation intended to demonstrate the role of design repositories as part of a vision for the next generation of product development software systems. This research involves not only the creation of a prototype software system, but is part of a broader effort that also includes the development of a core product knowledge representation, and that seeks to address terminological and semantic issues associated with computer-aided product development. This paper focuses on the interfaces that have been developed to support authoring and navigation of the product models stored in design repositories, as well as the software architecture and associated rationale that provide the framework on which the system is built.

Providing support for eGovernment services is currently a high-speed race for public administrations and research institutions. In this process towards a fully transactional platform, several projects have made their contribution. Regretfully, current solutions unveils some drawbacks regarding interoperability and accessibility issues. In this context, this paper proposes a semantic approach to fulfill holistic services in the domain. Semantics is called to play a role of first importance as a tool for interoperability. LifeEvents and AdministrativeServices are artifacts defined within this technology. Using these, an entire software architecture is derived and, eventually implemented by means of a software platform also described in this paper. Finally, some conclusions are presented.

Despite the great creators’ efforts of e-learning educational materials, it is not possible to define the content of these materials specifically for all students. Based on this, it is necessary to provide in e-learning education the possibility of a more detailed interpretation of specific parts of the educational material that may be unclear to specific students. Based on this fact, we decided to take the first step in the form of software design, which will represent a virtual assistant in teaching computer science. The role of this assistant will be the ability to answer technical questions related to the presented curriculum. From an architectural point of view, it will be a set of micro-services, each of which will serve a specific task. The prerequisite is the use of decision trees to determine a specific micro-service, which will be implemented in the form of a neural network. Main aim of this paper is to provide detail description of global software architecture for such a virtual assistant
