Calorimetric measurements of excess enthalpies are reported over the entire composition range for dibutyl ether + n-heptane, + n-deeane, + n-dodecane, and + n-hexadecane at 298.15 K. The results are compared with data from the literature, and a correlation of the excess enthalpies of dibutyl ether + n-alkane mixtures in terms of the Flory theory is described.

Excess enthalpies and excess volumes were determined over the entire composition range and at the three temperatures 283.15,298.15 and 313.15 K for mixtures of n-hexane with the three isomeric hexanes: 2- methylpentane, 3-methylpentane and 2,3-dimethylbutane. The excess enthalpies were measured with a microflow calorimeter and the excess volumes with a vibrating-tube densimeter. ��� The results are correlated with the molecular shape of the isomeric hexane.

Calorimetric measurements of excess enthalpies are reported for the three ternary systems (1-propanol + methyl tert-butyl ether + (n-hexane, or 2,3-dimethylbutane, or cyclohexane)) at 298.15 K. Smoothing equations, fitted to the results, were used to construct constant enthalpy contours on a Roozeboom diagram for each of the systems.

Nanocrystals of magnetic chalcospinels CuCr2S4−xSex (0 ≤ x ≤ 4) have been synthesized over the entire composition range and their magnetic properties investigated. Electronic structure calculations predict metallic characteristics in the bulk and “half-metallic” at reduced dimensions.
