We present here an investigation of the event horizon of a charged black hole embedded in a uniform magnetic field by studying the Gaussian curvature. It is shown that the Gauss–Bonnet theorem holds for this magnetized black hole and also for a magnetized Kerr black hole.

In this article, we calculate the deflection angle of tidal charged black hole (TCBH) in weak field limits. First we obtain the Gaussian optical curvature and then apply the Gauss-Bonnet theorem on it. With the help of Gibbons-Werner method, we are able to calculate the light's deflection angle by TCBH in weak field limits. After calculating the deflection angle of light, we check the graphical behavior of TCBH. Moreover, we further find the light's deflection angle in the presence of plasma medium and also check the graphical behavior in the presence of plasma medium. Moreover, we investigate the shadow of TCBH.For calculating the shadow, we first find the null geodesics around the TCBH and then find its shadow radius. We also obtain TCBH's shadow in the plasma medium. Hence, we discuss the shadow of the TCBH using the $M87^{*}$ parameters announced by the Event Horizon Telescope.

AbstractWe study magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) standing shocks in ingoing plasmas in a black hole (BH) magnetosphere. We find that low or mid latitude (non-equatorial) standing MHD shocks are both physically possible, creating very hot and/or magnetized plasma regions close to the event horizon. We also investigate the effects of the poloidal magnetic field and the BH spin on the properties of shocks and show that both effects can quantitatively affect the MHD shock solutions. MHD shock formation can be a plausible mechanism for creating high energy radiation region above an accretion disk in AGNs.

We investigate the effect of magnetic field on the process of overcharging magnetized Reissner–Nordström black hole. It is well known that a four dimensional charged black hole could be overcharged. Contrary to this, we show that a magnetized charged black hole could not be overcharged beyond threshold value of the magnetic field. This occurs because the magnetic field does not allow for particle to reach black hole horizon. Thus magnetic field beyond its threshold value could restore the cosmic censorship conjecture.

Abstract In this paper, geodesic motion of the charged particles in the vicinity of event horizon of Schwarzschild anti-de-Sitter black hole (BH) with topological defects has been investigated. Weakly magnetized environment is considered in the surrounding of BH which only effects the motion of the particles and doesn’t effect the geometry of the BH. Hence, particles are under the influence of gravity and electromagnetic forces. We have explored the effect of magnetic field on the trajectories of the particles and more importantly on the position of the innermost stable circular orbit. It is observed that the trajectories of the particles in the surrounding of BH are chaotic. Escape conditions of the particles under the influence of gravitomagnetic force are also discussed. Moreover, the escape velocity of particles and its different features have been investigated in the presence and absence of magnetic field. Effect of dark energy on the size of event horizon, mass of the BH and stability of the orbits of the particles have also been explored in detail. These studies can be used to estimate the power of relativistic jets originated from the vicinity of BH.

In the present work we explored the dynamics of magnetized particles around the compact object in γ-spacetime in the presence of an external asymptotically-uniform magnetic field. The analysis of the circular orbits of magnetized particles around the compact object in the spacetime of a γ-object immersed in the external magnetic field has shown that the area of stable circular orbits of magnetized particles increases with the increase of γ-parameter. We have also investigated the acceleration of the magnetized particles near the γ-object and shown that the center-of-mass energy of colliding magnetized particles increases with the increase of γ-parameter. Finally, we have applied the obtained results to the astrophysical scenario and shown that the values of γ-parameter in the range of γ∈(0.5,1) can mimic the spin of Kerr black hole up to a≃0.85, while the magnetic interaction can mimic the γ-parameter at γ∈(0.8,1) and spin of a Kerr black hole up to a≃0.3.
