Thermal neutron-capture γ rays from 199Hg(n, γ)200Hg were studied with a lithium germanium detector and with angular correlation techniques. Gamma-ray and level energies were determined with accuracies of at best ±3 keV. Spin 0 for the capturing state was confirmed and levels at 1 569, 2 060, 2 369, 2 640, 3 186, 3 269, 3 289, 3 351 keV were assigned spin 1. The 200Hg level scheme is discussed.

Coincidence and angular correlation measurements have been made on γ rays following thermal-neutron capture in separated targets of 52Cr and 53Cr. The following spin assignments are made in 53Cr: 0.563-, 2.32-, 2.71-, and 3.62-MeV levels, 1/2, 3/2, 1/2, and (3/2) respectively, and in 54Cr: 2.63-, 2.84-, 3.08-, 3.73-, 4.91-, and 5.30-MeV levels, 2,(0)2, 2, 1 or 2, 1 or 2, and 1, 2, or 3 respectively. Details of the decay schemes, branching ratios, and γ-ray multipole mixtures are given also.
