A method is suggested for the determination of 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazacyclohexane in workroom atmosphere. The substance is trapped in a sampling tube containing glass microfibres and activated silica gel, decomposed with sulphuric acid to give formaldehyde, the latter is reacted with 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulphonic acid, and the derivative of dibenzoxanthiliumtetrasulphonic acid formed is determined protometrically at 580 nm.

Conductivity of two micellar systems was measured in order to determine critical micelle concentration (CMC) of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). Those systems were: CTin water and CTin binary mixture acetonitrile (ACN)-water. Conductivity (?)-concentration (c) data were treated by four different methods: conventional method, differential methods (first and second derivative) and method of integration (methods A-D, respectively). As CTin water micellar system shows a sharp transition between premicellar and postmicellar part of the ?/c curve, any of the applied methods gives reliable CMC values and there is no statistically significant difference between them. However, for CTin ACN-water mixture micellar system the integration method for CMC determination is recommended due to a weak curvature of ?/c plot.

Based on benzoylacetone synthesized 1-phenyl-2- [2-hydroxy-3-sulfo-5-nitrophenylazo] 1,3-butadione (PHSNPAB). Studied complex formation of copper (II) with 1-phenyl-2- [2-hydroxy-3-sulfo-5-nitrophenylazo] 1,3-butadione (PHSNPAB) in the presence and absence of the third component such as cetylpyridinium chloride (CPCl), cetylpyridinium bromide (CPBr) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMABr). Single ligand complexes are formed at pH = 3, λ = 444nm, and mixed ligand complexes at pH = 2 λ = 456, 454, and 461 nm, respectively (CPCl, and CPBr, CTMABr). İdentified the relations of the reacting components in homogeneous composition of Cu-R (1: 2) and mixed ligand Cu-R-CPCl (1: 2: 2), Cu-R-CPBr (1: 2: 2) and Cu-R-CTMABr (1 2: 1) complexes, which concentration interval subordinated to Beer's law. The influence of external ions and masking substances on complex formation was studied. Method for the photometric determination of copper in the rocks was established.

The absorption spectra of the binary complexes of lanthanoids with bromopyrogallol red were measured and the formation of ternary complexes with cation active tenside, Septonex, was studied. Optimal conditions were found for the formation of these complexes and the possibility of their use in the photometric determination of lanthanoids was demonstrated on several examples.
