In this work we performed a comparison between two different approaches to track a person in indoor environments using a locating system based on BLE technology with a smartphone and a smartwatch as monitoring devices. To do so, we provide the system architecture we designed and describe how the different elements of the proposed system interact with each other. Moreover, we have evaluated the system’s performance by computing the mean percentage error in the detection of the indoor position. Finally, we present a novel location prediction system based on neural embeddings, and a soft-attention mechanism, which is able to predict user’s next location with 67% accuracy.

The design attempts for thefirst time to realize face locating system on the FPGA platform using themethod combined initiative infrared source with image difference. Through imagedifference process, the system obtains a difference image without backgroundinterference which takes the face as the main body. It can obtain the personface boundary by projecting the difference image in the horizontal and verticaldirection. The system processing speed amount s to the video source frequency25 frame per second, satisfying the timely request; the method of initiativeinfrared source makes the exterior have small influence on the image andguarantees the robustness of the system.

Fault tolerance is crucial to the operating safety and performance of train locating system. Based on the requirements of reliability and safety for train locating, the fault characteristics of location measuring sensors are analyzed. Based on the structure of the train locating system, the fault-tolerant design of the system is given with the location filtering module for case, in which six fault detectors are employed to determine the configuration of the module. Then a PCA based fault detection and isolation method is proposed with Hawkins T2 statistics and the corresponding control limit. By dynamically adjusting the efficiency factors, fault could be detected and isolated as prior defined isolating strategies, and then the fault tolerant performance will be guaranteed. Simulation results demonstrate the high fault tolerant ability of the proposed approach and certain practical application value.
