This paper presented a survey on wireless based industrial tomography system, and to review design challenges in the field of embedded wireless solutions. Focuses are on presenting recent researches in wireless based industrial tomography system, and providing the wireless protocols supported by the current embedded technologies. We also explain the influences of wireless characteristics such as RF spectrum usage, Link budget, RF agility, antenna and power consumptions in the performance of the designed wireless system. In this paper, we intend to introduce a set of practical considerations for embedded wireless tomography system design.
