Large gear is widely used as a key component of heavy machineries. Gear shaping is the most commonly process of large gear manufacturing. For the design of large gear shaper, the determination of its main driving force depends on the empirical formula. However, its result has shown that the main driving force is much larger than what really needs, which produces a lot of waste. A novel analytical method is proposed in this paper. According to this method, the cutting area can be calculated precisely, and the design of main driving force will be more reasonably, it also provides the theoretical foundation for the design of large gear shaper.

Der Einfluss fertigungs- sowie montagebedingter Abweichungen über dem Umfang auf das Anregungsverhalten, zum Beispiel Teilungs- oder Rundlaufabweichungen, bleibt im Auslegungsprozess konventioneller Getriebe weitestgehend unberücksichtigt. Diese über den Umfang veränderliche Kontaktgeometrie hat einen enormen Einfluss auf die Anregung der Drehordnungen bei schnelllaufenden Getrieben in Elektrofahrzeugen. Die Wichtigkeit der Betrachtung dieser Abweichungen werden in einer Simulationsstudie untersucht.   The influence of manufacturing- and assembly-related deviations are largely ignored in the design process of the excitation behavior of conventional transmissions. Effects of the deviation of tooth contacts over one revolution have a decisive influence on the excitation of the rotational order in gearboxes of electric vehicles. This report investigates in simulation the effects of these deviations on the excitation behavior considering high-speed-application.

To solve the critical problem of large gear deviation on-machine: angle displacement measurement that is how to get signal acquisition and accuracy analysis of angle displacement. A new measuring method is proposed, which applies the dividing mechanism (it is composed of friction disc and circular grating) to ensure index and pick up signal of gear corner correctly and strictly according to the principle of angular displacement measurement. Furthermore, the main error which affects measurement accuracy is analyzed, and accuracy is analyzed with geometrical theory such as Fourier series and error synthesis principle etc. The experimental results indicate that angel dividing and signal samplings are easier and more efficient by the dividing mechanism, furthermore, the accuracy is in the range of total error that is permitted by verification, and the mechanism can also meet the requirement of high accuracy, so the method is significance that assessing transmission accuracy of involutes gear.

V-grooved quartz substrates are manufactured by glass molding press and the pitch errors of the molded quartz fiber array blocks are statistically investigated. The V-grooved carbon molds of 8 and 16 channels and 250 μm in pitch are machined and then quartz substrates are molded on the V-grooved carbon molds by glass molding press. The pitch errors of X, Y and diagonal axis are measured and then statically analyzed. It is demonstrated that the V-grooved quartz fiber array blocks of 8 and 16 channels and 250 μm in pitch can be manufactured by glass molding technology without significant pitch errors.
