Global technologies of data transmission in real time are developing constantly. Therefore, modelling of messages transmission through satellite constellations is an actual problem. In this paper the original model of a communication channel ‘Vehicle-to-Satellite-to-Ground Station’ based on principles of the IEEE 802.11a standard is designed using MatLab Sіmulіnk software. The model allows simulating data transmission with data rate from 6 to 54 Mbit/s using adaptive modulation. Two types of channels were analysed for uplink/downlink modulation – a free space path losses with phase/frequency offset and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) link. On the base of this model, channel integrity was investigated and dependences of a Signal-Noise Ratio (SNR) on free space path losses, antennas diameters, number of OFDM symbols and satellite transponder noise temperature were received.

Abstract Digital communication has proven to be the most efficient method of data transmission especially where long distances are involved. This led to the invention of more sophisticated methods of communication ranging from mobile handset communication to more advanced satellite communication. The speeds of passing information have been improving over the years and real time video communication has been made possible with digital devices. Various methods of digital data transmission are employed based on the information to be transmitted. This paper focuses on carrier recovery in digital communication systems, especially those based on Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation and demodulation scheme. The design being implemented is that of coherent demodulation for QPSK scheme using SIMULINK design tool. Performance of QPSK is also investigated to make a comparison and the suitability of the scheme to use in digital data transmission applications.

The determining factor in the accelerated pace of informatization is the increase in the speed and reliability of data transmission networks. In this regard, new and existing standards are developed and modernized. A lot of organizations are constantly working on the development and implementation of new generation communication networks. This article provides an overview of available software solutions that allow us to investigate and evaluate the behavior of data networks. In particular, tools suitable for mobile communication systems were determined, having sufficient built-in functionality and allowing us to add our own implementations. NS3 has been chosen as a suitable network simulator. Apart from the review, a solution for this tool was developed. It allows estimating the reliability of data transmission from the start movement of a network node at all times during its removal from a base station.

The problem of industrial espionage is very common in the modern world. Existing complex systems are difficult to configure and turnkey solutions are created from integrator firms. In many enterprises, both industrial and civilian, wireless is a less secure area. The proposed solution, which is used as an addition to existing security systems, is able to detect not only created networks with the usual parameters, but also detect hidden data networks and signal unregistered wireless data networks to send information to a special server. The paper presents the architecture of the hardware-software complex, presents the first prototype and conducts test tests.
