According to the unique advantages in image processing combining wavelet and fractal and the different ways of combination, a super-resolution image processing methods are proposed. The methods are characterized by combining the wavelet transform, Wavelet Image Interpolation and FBM Fractal Image interpolation in a certain way to achieve super-resolution image reconstruction. Through processing MAG welding pool images polluted by noises seriously, the results show that: the method proposed in this paper, compared with the method based on wavelet bilinear interpolation, not only effectively raises MAG welding image resolution, but also PSNR of reconstruction images are enhanced 21.1049 dB.

The application of computer vision in face processing remains an important research field. The aim of this chapter is to provide an up-to-date review of research efforts of computer vision scientist in facial image processing, especially in the areas of entertainment industry, surveillance, and other human computer interaction applications. To be more specific, this chapter reviews and demonstrates the techniques of visible facial analysis, regardless of specific application areas. First, the chapter makes a thorough survey and comparison of face detection techniques. It provides some demonstrations on the effect of computer vision algorithms and colour segmentation on face images. Then, it reviews the facial expression recognition from the psychological aspect (Facial Action Coding System, FACS) and from the computer animation aspect (MPEG-4 Standard). The chapter also discusses two popular existing facial feature detection techniques: Gabor feature based boosted classifiers and Active Appearance Models, and demonstrate the performance on our in-house dataset. Finally, the chapter concludes with the future challenges and future research direction of facial image processing.

A theoretical model to actualize digital holographic detection with the help of paraxial optical system based on the inverse calculation of diffraction is introduced briefly. In addition, we proposed a method to actualize the measurement when the measured object modulates the amplitude and the phase of object light simultaneously. The simulated experimental example will be illustrated with the help of numerical computation and computer-aided image processing techniques.

In order to solve the problems of complex process of decryption and high cost when shifting the key codes of optical encrypted watermark, a method of applying double random amplitude-phase encryption to digital watermarking is introduced. The encrypted ESPI watermark is obtained by random amplitude-phase optical encryption based on normal speckle interference. An encrypted Fourier transform-ESPI watermarking scheme and an encrypted digital holography-ESPI watermarking scheme are introduced. Computer Simulation results show the feasibility of the new schemes. The compared results of image processing show that the encrypted ESPI watermark has good compatibility when combined with Fourier transform watermarking and digital holographic watermarking.
