Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide a detailed overview of the China Academic Library and Information system (CALIS) document supply service platform (CDSSP) – its historical development, network structure and future development plans – and discuss how its members make use of and benefit from its various components. Design/methodology/approach – The authors provide a first-person account based on their professional positions at the CALIS Administrative Center. Findings – CDSSP comprises five application systems including a unified authentication system, Saas-based interlibrary loan (ILL) and document delivery (DD) service system, ILL central scheduling and settlement system, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) service system and a service integration interface system. These systems work together to meet the needs of member libraries, other information service institutions, and their end users. CDSSP is widely used by more than 1,100 libraries based on a cloud service strategy. Each year more than 100,000 ILL and DD transactions are processed by this platform. Originality/value – The development of CDSSP makes it becomes true for CALIS to provide one stop information retrieval and supply service. At the same time, it promotes the resource sharing among member libraries to a great degree.

In order to realize cross-hospital data sharing and solve the problem of system interconnection, an information service platform was set up to build homogeneity of the core system, unify the basic standard, and recreate the business process, so as to achieve integration of multiple hospital systems. The system integration of thi information service platform realizes the interconnection and interworking of the systems of the two chambers. It facilitates the inter-hospital inspection appointment, bed appointment and inter-hospital transfer of patients, with strong scalability. This platform and technology application which has realized the system connectivity is reasonable. The hospitals of the same patient can share the medical information, improve the utilization rate of health resources and the patient’s clinic experience. It can further improve the utilization rate of hospital beds and efficiency of clinical work. The unification data for fine management advancement will also provide more data to support.

Considering the functional requirements of essential service, value-added service, prediction service and personalized service, which are demanded by users from university, enterprise and government, this paper designed an infrastructure of university information service platform using data warehouse technology. By means of the infomation resource integration method put forward by this paper, the platform realized the subject-oriented, multi-scale service to meet users service requirements and support decisions.

By analyzing the characteristics of China’s ceramic industry and ceramic industry cluster, the lack of China’s ceramic industry was found. In order to promote the overall level of China’s ceramic industry upgrading, according to the characteristics of China’s ceramic industry cluster, the application of information technology, the information service platform for region oriented to ceramic industry cluster was designed, and the characteristics of platform and the key technologies were presented and analyzed.Finally,the application case of studies was given.
