Interactive effects of photospread procedures (blind administration or has knowledge of suspect identity) and presentation techniques (sequential or simultaneous photospreads) on false eyewitness identification rates were examined. Of 117 subjects (57 men and 60 women), 87 served as a witness sample and 30 as a photospread administrator sample. Witnesses viewed a 20-sec. mock robbery video prior to viewing a photospread of six photographs either simultaneously or sequentially. Half of the administrators, prior to displaying the photospreads, were made aware of the photograph of the designated suspect (single-blind condition). Consistent with previous findings, sequential presentation was associated with both lower overall false identification rates as well as lower suspect designated-misidentification rates. In each case, there was evidence that administrators' knowledge increased false identification rates more in simultaneous than in sequential presentation conditions. Implications for administrations by police investigators are discussed.

In present, most mills from our country obtain brown wheat flour in intermediate extraction, besides white flour, and its quality is mostly inadequate and unconstant. Our paper's purpose was the optimization of the brown wheat flour's quality with the help o enzymes, using some of its beneficial properties. The sinergic effect of Aspergillus niger laccase and phytase, and cereal ?-amylase (Belpan) on the rheological properties of wheat flour were examined with the Mixolab test. The bread obtained from wheat flour with laccase and ?-amylase displayed an increased volume, without the problem of soaking during processing, compared with the bread obtained from the witness sample. An indirect correlation between falling number values and Belpan doses was obtained.

Aclonifen was used as the most preferable type of herbicide which is used in sunflower farming in the Thrace Region. Bacteria and fungi were isolated from the soil samples taken from the Thrace Region, and a mixed culture was prepared from equal volumes (108 CFU/mL) of liquid cultures of microorganisms. Including the witness sample, five different setups were prepared, to which Aclonifen, with a concentration of 1900 μg/L, was added. Each unit was diluted with distilled water for six weeks. The water filtered at this stage was measured for chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand, total organic carbon (TOC), and Aclonifen. Additionally, pH and dissolved oxygen measurement was performed. According to the results of the study, the highest bioremediation was observed in the soil sample to which 10 mL of mixed culture of microorganisms was added and Aclonifen, COD, BOD5, and TOC remediation was observed as 93.2%, 97.8%, 98.8%, and 98.7%, respectively.

A method for determining the residual stress through the deformation of a witness sample during pneumatic blasting of gas turbine engine parts with microbeads is proposed. During the study, the processing modes and the diameter of the microbeads were changed. It is shown that with an increase in the diameter of the micro-ball from 0.3 mm to 0.7 mm, the deformation of the samples increased by 2 times, and with an increase in the speed of their movement from 70 m/s to 90 m/s by 50 %. The mechanism of formation of residual stresses and deformations of the treated surface of the witness sample is proposed.
