Model ice-shape measurement is an essential part in the icing test in wind tunnel. The principle investigation of camera calibration and image processing technology based on OpenCV library which apply to ice-shape measurement in wind tunnel is presented in this paper. A kind of software with perfect function and good reproducibility was successfully developed. Ice-shape measurement test was conducted in wind tunnel and the application of OpenCV library in image post-processing was proved to be practical. This program can also be effectively used in aero-optics research, model attitude measurement and model deformation measurement in wind tunnel.

Characteristic example of the Balkan architecture of the 19th century, consists the "Tower house" which is found in the region of Epirus and Western Macedonia, Greece. Nowadays, the only information about these heritage buildings could be abstracted by the architectural designs on hand and the model – Tower that is being displayed in the Folklore Museum of the Municipality of Kozani, Greece, as a maquette. The current work generates a scaled 3D digital model of the "Tower house", by using photogrammetry techniques applied on the model-maquette that is being displayed in the Museum exhibits.

This paper made the 3D model reconstruction of the J34 turban blade. First, collected rough points cloud data by using visual measuring equipment. Then, smoothed and filtered the point cloud data, took the rational simplification, finished pre-processing the point cloud data. Finally, the Laplacian of Guassian Detection was used for fitting the edge of turban blade, and reconstructed the 3D digital model. The results proved that this method improved smoothness of the model, and reduced time and cost of modeling and machining.
