The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Acari, Oribatida) collected in 2016 from herbaceous-grassy vegetation from a ReviTec site, University of Ngaoundéré, Cameroon. A list of identified taxa, including 29 species from 23 genera and 12 families, is provided; of these, one species is new to science, one species (Pseudoamerioppia barrancensis) is recorded in the Ethiopian region for the first time, and all other species are recorded in Cameroon for the first time. A new subgenus of the genus Pilizetes Sellnick, 1937 (Galumnidae), Pilizetes (Pseudopilizetes) Ermilov subgen. nov., with type species Pilizetes (Pseudopilizetes) camerunensis Ermilov sp. nov., is described. The new subgenus differs from Pilizetes (Pilizetes) by the presence of setiform notogastral setae, a complete dorsosejugal suture and bothridial setae with unilaterally dilated heads.

A list of identified taxa, including 60 species from 45 genera and 30 families, is provided; of these, eight species are recorded in the fauna of this country for the first time, and one species is recorded in the Ethiopian region for the first time. A new species of the genus Wallworkoppia (Oppiidae) is described from litter and fallen leaves in a Juniperus forest; W. tetraciliata Ermilov sp. nov. differs from W. secata (Mahunka, 1999), W. parasensilla (Mahunka, 1999), W. tuberosa (Mahunka, 1988) and W. vibrissa (Mahunka, 1983) by the rounded rostrum (versus tripartite rostrum). An identification key to known species of Wallworkoppia is updated.

The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Acari, Oribatida) collected from nests of the termite Trinervitermes trinervoides (Sjöstedt) of the Franklin Game Reserve on Naval Hill in Bloemfontein (South Africa). A list of identified taxa, including 38 species from 32 genera and 25 families, is presented. Of these, four species (Sellnickochthonius foliatifer, Sphaerochthonius splendidus, Phyllozetes alatus, Pheroliodes africanus), two genera (Sphaerochthonius, Phyllozetes) and one family (Sphaerochthoniidae) are recorded for the fauna of this country for the first time; four species (Liochthonius simplex, Transoribates agricola, Lepidozetes singularis, Anellozetes translamellatus) and four genera (Liochthonius, Ceratobates, Transoribates, Lepidozetes) are recorded in the Ethiopian region for the first time. A new species of the genus Ceratobates is described, namely C. monosacculatus sp. nov., which is distinguished from all species of the genus by the tridactylous legs (versus monodactylous). Some data on oribatid mites inhabiting nests of termites are summarized.

The present study is based on oribatid mite material collected from Mayotte island (Сomoro Islands, Ethiopian region) in 2011–2016. A new species of the genus Uracrobates (Oribatida, Mochlozetidae) is described; Uracrobates (Uracrobates) mayottensis sp. nov. differs from all species of the nominative subgenus by having a rounded rostrum (versus bidentate or pointed). An updated generic diagnosis and an identification key to the known subgenera and species of Uracrobates are presented. A list of all oribatid mite taxa of the Comoro Islands, including 41 species, 30 genera and 19 families, is provided. Thе genus Phauloppia and the species Edwardzetes novazealandicus are recorded in the Ethiopian region for the first time.

A new oribatid mite subgenus, Ramusella (Dosangoppia) subgen. nov. (Oribatida, Oppiidae), with Ramusella (Dosangoppia) bochkovi sp. nov. as type species, is described based on adults phoretic on beetles of Ceratophyus polyceros (Coleoptera, Geotrupidae) collected from southwest of Russia. It is distinguished from other oppiid taxa by the presence of modified leg claws I and II (thick, specifically curved) performing the function of attachment to setae of the beetle hosts at a phoresy.

The oribatid mite genus Eurhynchoribates (Oribatida, Rhynchoribatidae) is recorded in the Philippines for the first time. Two new species are described from litter and soil of secondary forests. Eurhynchoribates samarensis sp. nov. differs from all species of the genus by the presence of 14 pairs of notogastral setae, and is designated as type species of the new subgenus Orinchobates subgen. nov. Eurhynchoribates (Eurhynchoribates) misamisensis sp. nov. is morphologically similar to E. (Eurhynchoribates) obtusus (Mahunka, 1985), but differs by the smaller body size, rostral setae clearly longer than lamellar setae, all barbed, and the presence of two transverse ridges between antero-lateral concavities on the prodorsum. The inclusion of Eurhynchoribates orientalis (Balogh, 1970) in the subgenus Orinchobates is proposed.

The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Acari, Oribatida) collected near the city of Potchefstroom in South Africa. A list of identified taxa, including 44 species from 34 genera and 21 families, is presented; of these, five species (Epilohmannia dimorpha, Cultroribula bicuspidata, Suctobelbila fonticula, Protoribates paracapucinus, Galumna baloghi) and one genus (Cultroribula) are recorded in the fauna of South Africa for the first time; one species (Limnozetes palmerae) is recorded in the Ethiopian region for the first time. Two new species belonging to the genera Scheloribates and Galumna are described. Scheloribates (Scheloribates) potchefstroomensis sp. nov. is morphologically most similar to S. (S.) diversidactylus (Hammer, 1961) and Scheloribates (S.) tricarinus Coetzer, 1968, but differs by the bothridial setae with developed heads and porose body surface. Galumna (Galumna) curvifamulus sp. nov. is morphologically most similar to G. (G.) colombiana Ermilov, 2017, but differs by the posteromedial localization of setal alveoli la, tuberculate medioanterior part of prodorsum, striate pteromorphs, smooth subcapitular mentum and the positions of lyrifissures ih and ips. The systematic placement of Urubambates calcaratus Mahunka, 1984 is discussed, resulting in the following taxonomic proposal: Scheloribates calcaratus (Mahunka, 1984) comb. nov.

The Ulopinae leafhopper genera of the tribe Ulopini from the Indian subcontinent (Daimachus Distant and Radhades Distant) are redescribed. Four new species of Daimachus are described: D. matheranensis sp. nov. (India: Maharashtra), D. robustus sp. nov. (India: Kerala), D. sirsiensis sp. nov. (India: Karnataka) and D. sudindicus sp. nov. (India: Karnataka, Kerala). Ulopa brunnea Pruthi 1930 is treated as a junior synonym of Daimachus exemplificatus Distant 1916 based on a study of the male genitalia of both species. The latter species, together with Radhades crassus Distant and Ulopsina Dai, Viraktamath & Zhang are redescribed and a new subgenus of Ulopsina, Indoulopa subgen. nov. is described from Sub-Himalayan region with Ulopsina (Indoulopa) himalayana sp. nov. as the type species; the genus is reported for the first time from the subcontinent. Key to genera and species dealt with are also provided, all taxa are illustrated and lectotypes are designated for Daimachus exemplificatus, Ulopa brunnea and Radhades crassus.

The oribatid mite family Astegistidae is represented in Mongolia by four species in two genera. A new species, Cultroribula taigagica sp. nov., collected from cool temperate forests in Northern Mongolia is described based on adults. In addition, three known species, Astegistes pilosus (C.L. Koch, 1840), Cultroribula dentata Willmann, 1950 and Cultroribula vtorovi Krivolutsly, 1971 are recorded for the first time from Mongolia, which are redescribed along with data on their distribution and ecology. A key to Mongolian species of Astegistidae is given.
