With ever-aging pipelines, the threat of SCC to pipeline operators has never been taken more seriously. High profile failures have prompted the USDOT to issue an advisory to operators of hazardous gas and liquid pipelines. The advisory, dated October 2003, requires pipeline operators to determine the susceptibility to SCC along their pipelines, and, to identify and manage SCC in segments where conditions indicating such susceptibility are found. CEPA recommendations provide guidelines to operators for the susceptibility assessments, validation and mitigation methods based upon the significance of the SCC found. Hydrotesting, SCCDA and In-Line Inspection (ILI) are traditional methods that can be used to validate the SCC threat. SCCScreen™ is an alternative threat validation method, which provides both a reliable and an economic option. Complying with both the USDOT SCC Advisory and CEPA recommendations, SCCScreen™ is the result of combining the latest ILI analysis techniques with historic SCC database and studies. Unique post ILI algorithms have been developed to target the signal characteristics intrinsic to SCC colonies. This reduction in data analysis effort enables a quick and economic answer to SCC threat validation. The use of proven Crack Detection ILI tools with an extensive database of crack detection history enables the quantification of its reliability. The methodologies are validated on over 20,000 Kms of crack detection data from the Ultrasonic Crack Detection (USCD) Tool. This paper describes the SCCScreen™ methodology from concept to reality. Validation of results will be demonstrated using previous inspection runs and more recent case studies.

The information supplied from inline inspection data is often used by pipeline operators to make mitigation and/or remediation decisions based on integrity management program requirements. It is common practice to apply industry accepted remaining strength pressure calculations (i.e. B31G, 0.85 dl, effective area) to the data analysis results from an inline inspection survey used for the detection and characterization of metal loss. Similar assessments of data analysis results from an ultrasonic crack detection survey require expert knowledge in the field of fracture mechanics and, just as importantly, require knowledge to understand the limitations of shear wave ultrasonic technology as applied to an inline inspection tool. Traditionally, crack-like and crack-field features have been classified with a maximum depth distributed over the entire length of the feature; crack-field features also have width reported. In an effort to provide further prioritization, techniques such as “longest length” or “interlinked length” [1] have been employed. More recently, an effort has been made to provide a depth profile of the crack-like or crack-field feature using the ultrasonic crack detection data analysis results. This presentation will discuss the advantages of post assessment of ultrasonic crack detection data analysis results to aid in the evaluation of pipeline integrity and discuss the limitations of advanced analysis techniques. Additionally, the potential for new inline inspection ultrasonic technologies which lend themselves to more accurate data analysis techniques will be reviewed.

One aspect of supporting the advancement of the business including the ability of employers to present products or services offered, as potential consumers to feel confident to buy or use the product or service. This study aimed to analyze the preparation of the presentation, the presentation of the message presentation and supporting elements presentations to market the business. Qualitative research methods used in this study with data analysis techniques in the form of case studies. The informants were women entrepreneurs officials Indonesian Business Women Association (IWAPI), West Java. This study found the presenter presenting business products through the preparation, presentation of the message, and the presentation of the supporting elements. Preparation presentation presenter recovered had to prepare a presentation in writing or spontaneously, to make headlines. At the presentation of the message consists of an introductory presentation, content, and conclusions. Presenter maintains visual contact with the audience, using the motion of the body (face and hands), in addition to the process of presenting the message presentation using word articulation orderly and clear. Meanwhile, at the close of the presentation, the presenter concluded overview presentation and encouraged the audience to buy or use the product business has to offer. In the presentation supporting elements, the study found the presenter using the product or service demonstrations, customer testimonials and involves the use of video and images in the presentation.

This study aims to determine the effect of environmental performance, company age and the proportion of independent commissioners on disclosure of environmental information. Samples from this study were 24 companies where this sample was obtained using a purposive sampling method with the criteria of high profile companies listed on the IDX and registered as participants in the 2016-2018 PROPER. Research data processing was performed using multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. The results obtained after testing are environmental performance and the proportion of independent commissioners has a positive influence on the disclosure of environmental information. While the results of the study found from the relationship between the age of the company on the disclosure of environmental information is found no influence between the two variables. Keywords: Environmental Performance; Company Age; Proportioni of Independent Commissioners; Environmental Disclosure.

AbstractHumans on earth need social interaction with others. Humans can use more than one language in communication. Thus, the impact that arises when the use of one or more languages is the contact between languages. One obvious form of contact between languages is interference. Interference can occur at all levels of life. As in this study, namely Indonesian Language Interference in Learning PPL Basic Thailand Unhasy Students. This study contains the form of interference that occurs in Thai students who are conducting teaching practices in the classroom. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that seeks to describe any interference that occurs in the speech of Thai students when teaching practice. Data collection methods in this study are (1) observation techniques, (2) audio-visual recording techniques using CCTV and (3) recording techniques, by recording all data that has been obtained. Whereas the data wetness uses, (1) data triangulation, (2) improvement in perseverance and (3) peer review through discussion. Data analysis techniques in this study are (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation and (4) conclusions. It can be seen that the interference that occurs includes (1) interference in phonological systems, (2) interference in morphological systems and (3) interference in syntactic systems.

The aim of this study is to investigate how the African novelists have domesticated the English language to suit their environments, experience and purpose. Specifically, the literary pieces – The Last of the Strong Ones (Strong Ones), House of Symbols (symbols), Children of the Eagle (Children) and the Trafficked of Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo were x-rayed. This exploration adopted the Hallidian Systemic Functional Linguistics, which highlights how language is used. The textual method of data analysis, the primary and secondary data collection methods were employed and the results showed that the African literary artists in general and the Igbo Nigerian novelists in particular have taken on a unique style of writing in the African vernacular style. For that reason, the speeches of the characters are laced with dignified local appositives, high profile Igbo songs and tales, studded local proverbs, lexical transfers, ritzy transliterations and so on; and these have given African rhythm to the English language. This notwithstanding, the aura, glamour and credibility of the English language as the medium of communication are retained.
