Cooling Control Using by Emulsified Heat Transfer Medium
Keyword(s):
Experimental study has been conducted on the heat transfer coefficient control using by the water and silicone oil emulsions. The focus is mainly paid on the effect on the heat transfer of the ambient emulsion temperature, water content and the stirring conditions. Heat transfer on an electrically heated horizontal Pt wire was measured. It is concluded that there is the transition point in the heat transfer coefficient, which is just above the boiling point of emulsified component of water. This may be the potentially useful method for the cooling control. The mechanism of heat transfer of the emulsions has been discussed and revealed for fundamental and practical points of view.
