This research concentrates on melting heat transfer in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow of Sisko fluid bounded by a sheet with nonlinear stretching velocity. Modeling and analysis have been carried out in the presence of heat generation/absorption and magnetic field. Transformation procedure is implemented in obtaining nonlinear differential system. Convergence series solutions are developed. The solution for different influential parameters is analyzed. Skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate are analyzed. It is observed that the qualitative results of magnetic field and melting heat transfer on velocity are similar.

Impact of nanofluid natural convection due to magnetic field in existence of melting heat transfer is simulated using CVFEM in this research. KKL model is taken into account to obtain properties of CuO–H2O nanofluid. Roles of melting parameter (δ), CuO–H2O volume fraction (ϕ), Hartmann number (Ha), and Rayleigh (Ra) number are depicted in outputs. Results depict that temperature gradient improves with rise of Rayleigh number and melting parameter. Nusselt number detracts with rise of Ha. At the end, a comparison as a limiting case of the considered problem with the existing studies is made and found in good agreement.

In this attempt, melting heat transfer characteristic of unsteady squeezed nanofluid flows in non-Darcy porous medium is interrogated. The nanofluid model incorporates Brownian diffusion and thermophoresis to characterize the heat and mass transport in the presence of thermal and solutal stratification. Similarity solutions are implemented to acquire nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations which are then evaluated using Homotopic technique. Flow behavior of involved physical parameters is examined and explanations are stated through graphs. We determine and analyze skin friction coefficient, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers through graphs. It is evident that larger melting parameter results in decrement in temperature field, while horizontal velocity enhances for higher melting parameter. Moreover, temperature and concentration fields are dominant for higher Brownian diffusion parameter.

The dissipative flow of Casson fluid in the presence of heat generation and absorption is investigated. The flow is induced due to stretching wedge. The similarity transformations were used to to transformed the governing equations into ordinary differential equations. The transformed equations are solved numerically via Keller-box method. Numerical results for skin friction coefficient are compared and found in excellent agreement with published results. The effects of pertinent parameters on velocity and temperature profiles as well as skin friction and heat transfer rate are graphically displayed and analyzed. It is noticed that fluid velocity drops with the increase of Casson fluid and magnetic parameters when the wedge is stretching faster than free stream. It is also noted that the heat transfer rate at wedge surface reduces with the increase of Eckert number, whereas the reverse trend is noted in the case of Casson and radiation parameters. Moreover, with increasing of heat generation or absorption parameter the fluid temperature rises.
