A factorial experiment was designed for evaluating the performance of a ceramic bonded solid film lubricant consisting of PbS/B2O3 in a 6:1 weight ratio. The effects of three factors, each at two levels were studied. These were bearing load, sliding speed, and rub block temperature. An analysis of variance of the test results was made. At 200 rpm, wear life increased with an increase in temperature between 700 and 1000 F for both load levels of 100 and 200 lb. At 600 rpm, however, wear life decreased with increasing temperature between 700 and 1000 F for both load levels. All results were obtained from runs made in air.

The paper presents the results of the development of a digital insulator based on an integral microtransformer in a specialized package made in technology of low-temperature co-fired ceramics. The isolator is a microassembly consisting of a transceiver chip and an integrated transformer. According to the test results, the maximum data rate speed of the developed digital insulator is not less than 30 Mbit/s.

Abstract MOOC appearance has produced, in a first phase, more discussions than contributions. Despite pessimistic opinions or those catastrophic foreseeing the end of the classic education by accepting MOOC, the authors consider that, as it is happening in all situations when a field is reformed, instead of criticism or catastrophic predictions, an assessment should be simply made. MOOC will not be better or worse if it is discussed and dissected but can be tested in action, perfected by results, or abandoned if it has no prospects. Without testing, no decision is valid. A similarity between the MOOC appearance and the appearance of the idea of flying machines heavier than air can be made. In the flight case, the first reaction was a strong negation (including at Academies level) and only performing the first independent flight with an apparatus heavier than air has shifted orientation from denial to contributions. So, practical tests clarified the battle between ideas. The authors of this article encourage the idea of testing–assessment and, therefore, imagined and proposed one software for quickly assess whether MOOC produces changes in knowledge, by simply transferring courses from ‘face-to-face’ environment into the virtual one. Among the methods of statistical analysis for student behavioral changes was chosen the Keppel method. It underpins the assessment method of this work being approached using both the version with one variable and also with three variables. It is intended that this attempts to pave the way for other series of rapid assessment regarding MOOC effects (using other statistical methods). We believe, that this is the only approach that can lead either to improve the system or to renunciation.

Although thermal hydrolysis of digested biosolids is an extremely promising strategy for wastewater management, the process economics are prohibitive. Here, a biosolids-based material generated through thermal hydrolysis was used as a catalyst for urea glycerolysis performed under several conditions. The catalytic system showed remarkable activity, reaching conversion values of up to 70.8 ± 0.9% after six hours, at 140 °C using a catalyst/glycerol weight ratio of 9% and an air stream to remove NH3 formed during the process. Temperature played the most substantial role among reaction parameters; increasing temperature from 100 °C to 140 °C improved conversion by 35% and glycidol selectivity by 22%. Furthermore, the catalyst retained good activity even after the fourth catalytic run (conversion rate of 56.4 ± 1.3%) with only a slight decrease in glycidol selectivity. Thus, the use of a biosolids-based catalyst may facilitate conversion of various glycerol sources (i.e., byproduct streams from biodiesel production) into value-added products such as glycidol, and may also improve the economic feasibility of using thermal hydrolysis for treatment of biosolids.

Composite materials are used in areas that have varying environmental conditions due to their advantages such as generally higher stiffness- and strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance compared to metallic alloys. This experimental study is carried out to investigate the bearing strengths and failure modes of woven glass–epoxy composite pinned joints subjected to rainwater. The specimens were immersed in rainwater in a closed plastic container indoors for 20 month periods at room temperature. The ratio of edge-distance-to-hole diameter (E/D) and the ratio of the specimen width-to-hole-diameter (W/D) were selected as parameters. Failure modes were determined by observing the failure regions on the specimens. Damage of immersed and unimmersed specimens was examined using scanning electron misroscopy for the same failure load. Experimental results showed that the bearing load values obtained from the specimens immersed in rainwater decreased in comparison to unimmersed specimens.

This study aimed to determine: (1) how was the design of character building by learning mathematics, and (2) whether the character building by learning mathematics could produce better learning outcome of mathematics than conventional mathematics learning. To answer these two questions, I used Research and Development ( R & D ) which consists of a preliminary study to obtain preliminary data on student learning outcomes before being given treatments of character building by learning mathematics. The next phase is the design of the character building by learning mathematics. Further testing and revision in class and repeated until it found the best learning model. From the first problem formulation, qualitative data analysis, such as the design of character building in learning mathematics was produced. The results of the qualitative analysis shows, character building by learning mathematics was quite effectively applied to implant positive character in students. To answer the second question, statistical analysis was used. The population in this study was all students of class VII of MTsN in Buaran of Pekalongan which totaled 220. By random cluster sampling technique two classes (a class VII A and VII B) was chosen. Class VII A was as an experiment class, and class VII B was as a control class. Data were taken by the test method, experimental classroom observation, and documentation. The data was then processed with an average difference test. Results of statistical analysis obtained t = 3.33 > t table = 1.67. This meant that learning achievement of the students in the experimental class, which was implemented character education in mathematics was better than the students who were taught by conventional methods. Based on these results, it could be conclude that the character building in mathematics was better than the conventional method of learning mathematics.

This paper is on analyzing the feasibility of AI studies and the involvement of AI in COVID interrelated treatments. In all, several procedures were reviewed and studied. It was on point. The best-analyzing methods on the studies were Susceptible Infected Recovered and Susceptible Exposed Infected Removed respectively. Whereas the implementation of AI is mostly done in X-rays and CT- Scans with the help of a Convolutional Neural Network. To accomplish the paper several data sets are used. They include medical and case reports, medical strategies, and persons respectively. Approaches are being done through shared statistical analysis based on these reports. Considerably the acceptance COVID is being shared and it is also reachable. Furthermore, much regulation is needed for handling this pandemic since it is a threat to global society. And many more discoveries shall be made in the medical field that uses AI as a primary key source.

Kata kunci: rubrik, penskoran, asesmen otentik.   ABSTRACT The purpose of this development research is to produce a scoring rubric on an authenticity assessment for the volume and area materials that can be used by teachers and students. The rubric is made in based on the assessment standards in the 2013 curriculum. This development research (R&D) uses the Borg and Gall model consisting of five stages of preliminary data research and collection, planning, product format development, small-scale trials, final revisions and product enhancements. The results of this development research include holistic and analytic scoring rubric with a very valid score of 94%. The rubric is analyzed fromquestionnaire for teachers and students, while trials are conducted through individuals, small groups and large groups. The feasibility of the scoring rubric from assessment by members by using the material validity test questionnaire, student learning results, student response and teacher responses. The results of this study show that the scoring rubric is effective in helping to improve the test results and is practical and can be used to provide assessment of learning outcomes in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. Keywords: rubric, scoring, authentic assessment.
