This paper presents an analytic method for the determination of the gear ratios of an epicyclic-type transmission mechanism for a given set of speed ratios. For the transmission mechanism with the associated clutching sequence table, the overall speed ratios are first derived and expressed in terms of the gear ratios of all the mating gears using the concept of fundamental geared entities. Next, the associated speed ratio relations are derived as a criterion to detect the feasibility of any given set of speed ratios. Finally, the transmission mechanism is decomposed into a system of fundamental geared entities such that the gear ratios of all the mating gears are determined from given speed ratios in an analytic way.

A new methodology for the speed ratio analysis of epicyclic-type transmission mechanisms is presented. First, the kinematic characteristics associated with various operation modes of fundamental geared entities are investigated. Then, it is shown that the overall speed ratio of an epicyclic gear mechanism can be expressed in terms of its fundamental geared entities. This method leads to an automated derivation of the speed ratio of an epicyclic-type transmission mechanism without the need of a symbolic manipulation software.

Abstract The kinematic characteristics associated with fundamental geared entities are investigated. By decomposing an epicyclic gear mechanism into two subsystems and each subsystem into two subsystems until the lowest level subsystem contains only one fundamental geared entity, the overall speed ratio of an epicyclic gear mechanism can be conveniently expressed in terms of the speed ratios of the fundamental geared entities. The result can be applied for the identification of feasible clutching sequences of a transmission mechanism.

To develop a new structure of the movement mechanism of the sewing machine materials, which provides a qualitative movement and perform a determination of its kinematic parameters. The  object  of  the  study  is  a  typical  and  developed  by  the  authors  mechanism  for moving materials sewing machines. To determine the parameters of the new mechanism, known methods of optimization kinematic synthesis of lever mechanisms are used.

The paper presents an aproximate analytic method for determination of the stored energy of plastic deformation during cold bending of metal tubes at bending machines. Calculations were performed for outer points of the tube layers subjected to tension and compression (the points of maximum strains). The percentage of stored energy related to the plastic strain work was determined and the results were presented in graphs. The influence and importance of the stored energy of plastic deformation on the service life of pipeline bends are discussed.

This paper is intended to explain the methods used by experts in determining the contracts used in electronic money transactions. The focus of this paper is not only on contract determination, but how a contract is embedded in electronic money transactions. This research is a qualitative research wich uses descriptive-analytic method. Data obtained from secondary sources such as books, journals, websites, and relevant documentation. The results showed that in principle, there are two methods in determining the contract in a muamalah transaction. The first method uses the editorial approach (words) which focuses on the contract words, and the second uses the substance (meaning) approach which considers the contract based on the aims and objectives of the contract as seen from the form of the agreement as well as the rights and obligations obtained by each party. Regarding the topic of discussion, it can be concluded that the determination of the contract in electronic money transactions uses a meaningful approach. That because the consideration used in determining the electronic money contract is based on the form of the transaction that occurs between the parties, not just the existing words.

Abstract Intermolecular metathetic polymer degradation opens up an analytic method to identify the quality and quantity of the components in blends of different types of rubber even if they are crosslinked and filled with carbon black, mineral oil, etc.. Furthermore the amount of soluble and insoluble additives can be determined. Moreover, metathetic degradation allows for determination of detailed information about the chemical microstructure (e.g. sequence length distribution of 1,2-butadiene and styrene units) of the rubbers used. This method is suitable for analysis of rubber components in tires.

The Wolfrom gear is suitable for high speed ratios with an efficiency which is not optimal, but still acceptable. The version with single-rim satellites has significant design and technological advantages. However, the determination of the most appropriate modification coefficients poses a technical problem as the modifications are now related instead of being chosen independently. The geometrical calculations of the single-rim satellites version are performed in the paper. Speed ratio, number of teeth of the satellites, pressure angles and modification coefficients are determined. Advisable values for these parameters are given. As an example a specific design problem for the replacement of a three-stage planetary reducer (consisting of 15 gears) with a Wolfrom gear train (6 gears) the following calculations were performed.

Terrain corrections of gravity data are by far the most awkward and time‐consuming reductions needed in exploration geophysics. The terrain must be subdivided into small prisms; the average elevation of each prism must be found on a topographic map; the gravity field of each prism must be determined by analytical methods; and the contributions of all the prisms must be added up.
